That's a bubbler, it's basically a water pipe. It's like a bong, but not truly a bong. You fill the water i nthe bottom of the bowl and when you hit it , the smoke travels through it. A bong is the EXACT same concept, but you see they have a different physical look to them. I personally like bongs better, I had a bubbler and was annoying because it got clogged A LOT. I bought a glass on glass silder bong now, it's pretty much the shit lol.
