    this is drastic.... but

maybe while registering, give the option for either a runescape trading/ general account, or community account, since many people here who actually try help the community don't play runescape, and many people here only come for the market, and runescape related stuffs.
even if it segregates the people who come here, it would be clearer to see whose trying to gain trust for scamming, and whose actually trying to gain respect in this community.

    IMO, No.

    this is drastic.... but

i see your point, but half the people in the account trading section haven't even heard of say the "something for all" sections =| .
so i thought it's either this or more awareness of the other sections :)

    reason or anything Mike?

A lot of people that come to this site are usually RsFags at first, like I was.

    But people change.

And what of people that aren't RsFags, yet sell runescape goods? R2p for example.

I don't support. I initially came to Sythe.Org for the Runescape accounts section, but look at me now. People change their minds over the course of time and if Runescape fags want to come into SFA, they can. And vice versa.

Why would we limit any members of the community. When I first started on sythe I was just doing it to sell an account. Now I love the community and want to be a part of it. I'm sure most of you came here originally for the same reason I did. This doesn't sound fair at all.

i understand, but if you look at the number of complaints (e.g. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=4069591#post4069591) you realize that maybe having two sections, and a separate account for each section may have an anti-scammer effect, as those who're active in the community side of sythe won't have a head start in the market (post count and respect wise, as they may have 1000s of posts but no trades), and those who are active in the market won't get more respect than they deserve in the community sections.

I think you misunderstood me, since I do middleman in the RS section, it would be pretty hypocritical of me to actually want this. I was just pointing out what he wants.

i didn't say you were limited to one account, you can have both, you just have to gain trust in both fields, not use your trust as an active trader to gain respect in the community.
