I will change the riddle to make it a lot easier, and I will make it with some recognizable faces.


George W. Bush walks into a tv station and buys 30 seconds of commercial time, he then hands the tape he wants played to the clerk(or whoever works there) He is then told that at the time he requested his advertisement to be played someone has already purchased that air time. So he slips the guy an extra $200 and the clerk accepts it. Later that day at precisely the time he ordered his advertisement is played. And all it is is just static. Yet the man is happy. Why is this so?

 

i think i got it

the man that already had that air time was actually his enemy so he slipped 200$ to the clerk for static to be on air and that why he was happy!

it was actually hard trying to think about to i went to sleep for like 3 mins then i got the idea...

 

It was for the presidential election, and he took the other guys air time with static, so the other guy didnt get his message across..?

My first is in water and also in tea. My second is in fish but not in the sea. My third is in mountains but not underground. My last is in strike but never in pound.

My whole crushes mountains, rivers, even civilizations. And all that live, fear my arrival.

What am I?

It would definitely make sense;
The first letter (T) is in water and tea. [from here, you can deduce that it's T, E, or A]
The second (I) is in fish, but not in sea. [F, I, S, H]
The third (M) is in mountains, but not underground [M, T, A, I, S]
The fourth (E) is in strike, but not pound. [S, T, R, I, K, E]

Time is the only word from these letters in this order that I can see.

And the last part was basically a giveaway.

Here's a very common puzzle, I won't spice it up with any needless variations.

You are standing at point A. You need to get to point B. Separating you from B are two paths - one that will lead you on a road to nowhere, the other that will actually lead you to point B. On each of these paths, there is a man blocking the road. You know that one of them ALWAYS tells the truth while the other ALWAYS lies, but you don't know which path has which man on it. However, you have to pick a path to get to point B. What is the one and only question you can ask to get to point B?

[Don't say something dumb like "what language do you speak?" or "punch the guy in the face, see if the path leads to B, if it doesn't walk back and knock the other dude out and walk that way." Seriously, think about it.
