Jagex says they are cracking down on GP buyers

That seems like a long and ineffective practice. However, the problematic statement comes later:

What do you guys think about this? Could it just be longer bans when you are caught? If they are going to start going after gold buyers, that could change things a lot, since they previously only really went against sellers.

 

Just an act. One goes down and two pops up.

They will never be able to put a dent to rwt unless they remove trading and even then there were methods.

I remember when I quit years ago they introduced a trade limit. Guess it’s a good idea to hoard some gold.

To me it sounds like they will just be permanently banning for RWT offenses from here on out if I had to guess.

 

I've had two friends get banned after I've bought gold from them for RWT Majors. I never recieved anything at all. I suspect they are talking about that shit. Where they clearly don't touch the buyers and sellers get clapped.

 

Yep that's how I read it too. I'm gonna make sure I only buy like 50m at a time just in case they are really getting serious.

 

Jagex makes bank from rwt. I honestly don’t see them “cracking” down any more than it takes to make them -look- like they are trying to stop it.

 

Them have try to sue me 7 times but no luck on them.

They won't do shit, over half of their playerbase is involved in rwt, they're not just going to ban everyone

 

I don't think they will do anything but i feel like it'd be kinda easy to catch gold sellers/buyers.

Just go to the most popular sites and buy a small amount of gold / or try and sell gold and when you find out their in-game names you just ban that account, the accounts its traded, all accounts on that IP. and then repeat.. Or you could find out their names and then watch trade logs and IP changes inbetween that account and then mass ban from there.

 

Most gold websites use VPS's and only put so much on each account.

 

of course they only care now because they have some skin in the game with bonds lol

 

and then you can just check the trade logs and find the buyers and who sells to them.

 

They post stuff like this too scare people
