Did I ask for 6 different letters? No. And anyways, if you take one letter from thirteen, how do you propose you get 12? Think more abstractly

You didn't say take one letter, you said take one away.
But that's fine, I'll come up with the right answer, I know it's going to involve something like a baker's dozen, something like that

 

The answer to the one your debating is dozens.. you could have given him thirteen, since it was a correct answer...

 

I gave him credit for thirteen, I just asked for another, more correct [in terms of fitting the conditions] answer. I didn't mean it rudely or anything, even though it obviously came across that way.

also, perhaps could i propose that people post the answer to their riddle with there riddle. Obviously it shouldn't be flat out there, but maybe they could color the answer in the same letters as the background to make it invisible or put it in a code html or something. This would help a lot with people answering riddles but not knowing if they were right or wrong.

just a proposition :/

an example:

"What do giraffes have that nothing else has?"
Answer: baby giraffes

the answer is invisible unless you choose to highlight it.
the code to make your test the same as the background is

Or, a Raccoon.

Himself, he is a bank robber, in a mask, the lake he is running on is frozen, and he see's a reflection..

A man is running home, but he sees a man in a mask blocking his path.
