I think any 8-year old has been subject to pain, and should have enough common sense to realize that being burned or having your head bashed into a wall is not a pleasant feeling. Should they be charged for adult homicide? Of course not, because they couldn't really make great decisions [the mom would probably actually be charged for some form of homicide (I'm not sure the "degree"). But should they be spending the next 10 years of their lives in juvie? I definitely think so.

What I just read got me so close to crying, it's not even fair.

To have someone do that to an innocent 3-year-old, or anyone for that matter, just sickens me.

What goes through their head? Is it funny, or is it out of anger or hate?

People are sick. They need help which they aren't getting and just go crazy. That's probably what happened here.. they needed to let there anger out on something and their sister was the weakest thing to prey on.

 

That's the major question. When does personal responsibility kick in and ignorance end? Is there something inside us all that tells us that we're in the wrong? Does everyone have compassion built in? Or is that taught?

 

When we realize that picking your ass and smelling it in public isn't acceptable.

The reason this world is so fucked up is because people accept these things, the more people accept them the more likely they occur. If everyone shunned them and they were actually punishes for doing things like murder they would not happen as often.

For example where i live a young man was killed by another, he killed him by repeatedly stamping on his neck and head, he eventually chocked to death because of complications with his windpipe being crushed. Now he only got 6 years in prison with probation at 3 I'd guess, sine when was a brutal murder anywhere near equivalent to 3 years in prison...

Thats whats wrong with this world and that's why these things happen. The scum of the earth do these types of things knowing full well all they will receive is a slap on the wrist..

The two brothers were convicted for first degree murder...that carries a minimum sentence of 25 years... I really don't think the thought that they wouldn't get punished was the motivation behind killing their sister.
