has anyone been banned using V4? or was it for V2 and V3??

 

I can't use the alching mini-game with the bot cause it keeps saying letters each time it gets the withdraws the items from the cupboards, it says the letters if it gets the 30 gp item on the first try.

 

I think 4 of us have. I was banned because I was posting exact times and such and the other 3 had previous blackmarks from using V3.

 

i think it was a little more than 4 that got banned it says the amount in rids last post but i dont think its just because of the sigs and stuff because robotz said they found out credo by looking at his draynor.net sig when his draynor sig says zezima and im wiling to bet thats not his account.

 

No they mostly got me because I think I was posting exact reports as well. I posted how many points I approximately had as well as what I am spending it on as well as my mage level. I was also banned using v3.

 

Next time, we shall PM RID our times and crap lol. IF we do bot again.

EDIT: Could I bot while using a Proxy? Would that be easier than calling my ISP and having them change it?

 

Traditional proxies don't work with RS...however if you can get a software proxy that installs as a program, you might have some luck.

Well spotted, I didn't check the link yesterday but knew credo got to 99 mage from an earlier version of this bot a while ago, so I just assumed that was his account, but no he isnt' Zezima.

I re-opened the investigation into his ban, and wasn't surprised when within seconds I found this: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=3296167#post3296167

Like Unce, credo was putting the account he bots on for sale. It wouldn't have been hard for Jagex to find that, and there's more than enough information in those screenshots for them to single out his username.

So the pattern is clear: 4 days, 8 bans, all given to people who either compromised their identify by posting too much info about their RS accounts here on Sythe, or were known as bot users by Jagex from bans picked up with in V2/V3. I'm glad people seem to have heeded the warning, there have been no bans so far today. If there is any later, I'm sure it will unfortunately be a repeat of the same mistakes.

Admitting you use the bot here is no different to a confession, do not sign that confession with your RS account name(s). It's Jagex's job to (at least try) to catch as many of us as possible. The fact they are resorting to these measures, could be an indication that detecting the bot in-game, is too hard.

People should cut Unce some slack. He knew using a bot was against the rules, and said some things he may regret, but while he botted the 99 magic, he was combat lvl 131, by far most of the work put into that account he did himself. He was on the verge of selling his account here on Sythe for over $500, and just lost it. So hopefully, you can learn from this mistake. Make sure you are just as much a ghost outside game, as RID does for you in-game.

Trigger - changing IP through your service provider is most definitely the best way to do it.

 

Rid how could i auto on my main i was banned in v3, with 95 mage and 50m remember. i dont want to lose this tank

 

i wouldnt risk it sh00ting. if you really want to bot. do like 1-2hrs at max/day then do something else.

 

robotz, whats with the bot saying random stuff in the alchemy arena? i noticed someone else posted about it also. id definitely say its dangerous.

 

Good, no bans today.

The bot isn't supposed to say random stuff, there may have been a bug for some people, so I've turned it off for now, but if there's someone else in the arena the bot might say, "here" or whatever, to help other people get items. It's spelling may not always be perfect, but because I've heard it wasn't working correct I've switched it off for now.

btw, the less specific the info you give on this thread the better. It's always best to report bugs privately but I've turned the bot talking off in alchemy for now, and in the future you'll be able to turn it off by switching off the auto-talker. In pm if you want to give me details of the kind of stuff the bot was saying. Thanks

Sh00tin, change your IP address with your ISP. That will make it harder, but if you ever used this RS account on the same IP you were on with V2, they could still possibly trace you. The heat may well die down in a few days, change IP then either start botting on a new account, or lay low for a while.

Hey Robotz. I've decided to bot again, but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have vista, which I switched to classic mode. Once I start the bot, it moves the mouse over to "log in" and just hovers there. That's all it does.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. I havn't really used this bot since like last year. Thanks.
