i guess ill do the ogres with bronze knives. i dont have the quest done yet but i gotta do it anyway so ill do it for this. i dont have void tho, will it still be the fastest to 70? how many knives do u think ill need also? and where do i buy bronze knives? they dont buy in GE and i dont want to buy from store because thats like doubble GE price.

 

I didn't do it with void; it doesn't help substantially but if you have it it only adds. Not having it doesn't make a difference really.

Hey, you might want to add Ankous for 65+ for FTP. There a great option for 65-80

 

Not compared to lesser demons; there are few safe spots, they are harder to kill than lessers, and you will need food plus decent arrows.

 

do broad bolts really suck that bad? i thought they were actually pretty good =(

 

No no no where did you get that they are great!

 

who told u they suck? they cost less than mith but are better than mith.

 

The actual effect of broad-tipped bolts (besides killing Turoths and Kurasks) is that they hit well on monsters and bad against humans. Don't use these for PKing or dueling. Broad-tipped hit slightly higher than adamant (sometimes it won't matter, its almost like a +1 range bonus, makes no difference really) but do not hit as high as often. Probably my favourite bolt for MKing.

i know that they arent good for PKing, but they are good for training range unless your on a pure and dont have the 55 slayer required to use them. im not going to get 55 slay just for bolts, ill stick to bone bolts at the ogre training place for now.

the reason why i am not using bronze knives is because if i were to use them until 70 range (60 atm) it would cost around 600k. cbow may be slower but bone bolts hit higher and are way cheaper(3gp max). my pure is poor atm because i cant find a way to get the 500k and 250k to it from my other 2 accounts(levels 77 and 56).

 

Well, I highly recommend not using Bone Bolts. Too slow, even if its cheap it will seriously take like two weeks. Magic Shortbow with bronze arrows is cheap and good, at least compared to the bone c'bow. And you wouldn't use broad at the ogre place. Broad are for high leveled monsters, like fire giants, dragons, and aviansies.

yea, i tested it with bone bolts, it is slower than the knives. i just dont have the money to buy anything else w/o picking up the bolts. even if i do bronze arrows, it still cost more. i have about 50k cash and no way to get the 750k from my other accounts to this pure.

do u know how much exp per hour the bronze arrows would be? i know for a fact that i can get 20k exp an hour at lessers with steel arrows. they may be more expensive but i can pick them up which means i will save money.

are u sure that fire giants with steel arrows wouldnt be better than these?

Yes I am 100% sure that fire giants are too slow at this level. Alternatives though included experiments, which will never hit, rock crabs, lessers are not bad, and moss giants.

 

you should put something in there about using red chins... most people will use them at some point from 85-99.. don't know anybody who did fire giants to 99... thats wicked slow
