Interesting Information about Facebook

creepy...makes me reconsider whether or not i want to keep mine...

 

Why is the video specifically targeting facebook? All the information can be collected by the government/third parties in any other way, your schools give out your transcript, credit card history and purchases are provided by your bank, etc.

Yeah it's scary that all this information can be collected about us, but facebook is just another source for the system.

 

wow, I always kindov wondered why the ads were exactly what I do. Dirt biking, guitar, etc. I thought it was just a coincidence.

 

That was a very interesting video, however I'm pretty sure that girl exaggerated some aspects of that video.

 

You think this actually means something? First of all, from 1:50 onwards is a huge stretch that really doesn't mean anything. Honestly, using the internet (which web browser do you use?) basically has the same effects. If you're dumb enough to be moved by this video, then do some research about all the other things you do.

E-mail, MSN, Using IE, Windows XP/Mac OSX/Linux, etc.

If you feel uncomfortable with information about you being released to people, then you really can't use the computer.

 

You think that if you delete your facebook it means it is deleted in their database? I think not. This is some very very scary shit mate.

for all im concerned... facebook AND myspace is way over rated and for people that that is their life, can go suck a nut

 

It's not about being overrated, it's the fact that they store information about you (nothing new by the way)

 

So what a few people are making money. I honestly don't care who has my information not like I'm going to get raped.

 

It happens, with any social networking site, not to mentions, your school, work, banks and anyone else who can get your information, If you don't like it move to a 3rd world country, it's an inevitable fact of life, with technological advancement comes, much else, this type of stuff included.

 

I don't even care. I display my information proudly.

 

It's not like you'll find your address someday on a random website you googled.
I use Facebook to communicate with friends and that stuff.
I'm not posting family pictures or anything.
And why would they even care if I posted family pictures?
There's.. How many?... Idk how many people on Facebook. Why would they take exactly YOUR boring picture of yourself, that you may think is "ooooh so private"?
This is bs. I'm not scared. Good luck on the internet, buddies.

You didnt know this before? especially being that it was just lately they placed an ssl on the login page

 

I canceled my facebook for similar reasons- Jobs are now using facebook as a profiling system, I don't want to miss an employment opportunity I deserve just because of a rogue wall post, or a joke marital status, etc.

 

Oh my goodness.

Guess who is cancelling their facebook. =D
