RuneScape not loading in .NET IDE?

Operating System: Vista Ultimate 64bit (UAC Disabled)

I'm unable to get RuneScape to load inside vb.net. It seems that it can't locate JAVA. If I compile the program though it will run fine. Currently using VB Express 2008 but it's happened to me for as long as I can remember with all versions of VS.

Anyone else had this problem and or know of a solution? Yes I've tried running it as Admin.

Are you trying to load the RS applet within a VB .net program?

 

Here's what happens

I create a project in VB.NET, using either VS or Express.
Add a browser control, have it load www.runescape.com on load.
Run the project, the RuneScape website loads in it.
Click "Play Now"

RuneScape doesn't load. I get this error.

Yes, Java is installed on my computer. This is a known problem and I've spoken to others who have experienced the same problem but no one knows how to resolve it. If I compile the project into a .exe, RuneScape runs fine in it.

 

Then ummmm, compile it into an exe. :/

Have you got Java set in your path/classpath? Though I doubt this will resolve the issue (as it is odd how it works in a compiled executable but not in the visual studio host process) it is worth a look at despite any doubt that it will.

Even so, if it works when you compile it, why don't you just compile it and run it that way? That seems fairly plausable to me.
