I might try that Adobe After Effect one, can you zoom in on sections of the vid etc as an effect?

Adobe or Final Cut products are your best choice for professional editing but expect a learning curve.

Or Sony Vegas if your lazy to learn.

Uhhh to clarify a few things:
    1. Final Cut Pro is Mac OS X exclusive and it's like 50GB.
    2. Final Cut and Premiere (and AVID) are both far superior to Sony Vegas.
    3. After Effects is not a video editor in the same sense as Premiere/Final Cut/Sony Vegas/iMovie/Windows Movie Maker. It's a compositing program targeted at special effects (or motion graphics) artists.

Out of the ones I've used, I would say Sony Vegas, haven't tried After Effects or Final Cut.

Ugh, I hate how the majority of RS Vid makers are so obsessed with Sony Vegas. It's not that great. Ask any professional in the industry (that isn't working for or sponsored by Sony) and they'll tell you that Final Cut and AVID are much better.

Final Cut Pro (the full version) costs near one-thousand dollars. Please, feel free to buy me a Mac and that software and I'll gladly accept your facts.

And yes, Sony Vegas Pro is great.

Sony Vegas Pro is NOT great. And seeing how the majority of people here probably pirate their software, price is apparently no object. -_-

Also AVID is Windows software as is Premiere (which isn't as good, but still much better than Sony Vegas).

I'm sorry, but that is complete and utter un-logical reasoning. I would accept your theory that Sony Vegas is bad, except for the fact you have no portfolio or work to back up your claims.

I'm sorry, when did Tyson ever say anything about pirating? That's not a factor in this argument, now is it?

How is that un-logical reasoning. I have made some films in Final Cut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn4bamF5eEQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZL15SCfikE
But our school has had industry professionals come as guests and NONE of them even recommend Vegas. Furthermore, there are several major films edited using Final Cut or AVID such as Cold Mountain, No Country for Old Men, The Dark Knight and many more. I can't think of a single famous movie off the top of my head that was edited using Vegas (if there even are any).

And it was recommended by Jack-in-the-box that he should keygen it.
    and you said
And whatever he decides on, there's a good chance that he's going to pirate it regardless of what he says. >__> So yes, yes it is a factor.

Windows Movie Maker allows you to make a video cycle through the spectrum of colors without having to make the preset yourself, therefore all others fail.

Seriously though, Sony Vegas lets you have multiple instances of it open at the same time, and furthermore, each instance has its own process that you can change the priority on. So unlike ANY OTHER VIDEO EDITING PROGRAM IN HISTORY, you can have 15 Sony Vegas's rendering at low priority while you keep editing smoothly with another 3, and conveniently copy things between them. Also, whenever you want to open another project, you don't have to wait for it to load or wait for the current project to load again when you come back- you can just fire up another Sony Vegas task and go back to editing the previous.
HA! How's THAT for efficience and conveniency? Suck it!

Multiple instances is one of the only things Vegas has going for it compared to it's competition. And it's not as great a feature as you're making it out to be. >__>

I don't think you've given a reason though of why it's that bad.
