How to Host RSC Server?

well ive been googling around for a while and cannot seem to find a post or any info on how to host a RSC server.

i have been playing private ones for a few months but most of them last from 2weeks to 3months then die off after that forcing us to make another character on another server.

what my question is where can i find a walkthrough which contains the files i need to host? (server files and client files)

Unfortunately I can't help you with creating your own RSC server.
Not to be a jerk or anything, but starting out your own server will probably just result in very few people, and those people will probably quit after a very little time too.

Instead you should join up with a community which has existed for a long time, but just need more members!

I suggest you RSCFobia. It is the MOST advanced server around with most active developing team.

yes its a good server and has been scriped well..
but where can i access the server files ? ive registered to the forums but cannot find anything

if you want to start a server, start a rs2 server first. learn to code them very well than you can move on to rsc servers using php etc.

 

i understand coding abit (been doing php work and stuff before)
just want to get the basic server up then work on it from there

 

start by downloading wamp and apache ant.

 

dont make one you'll get like 20 people playing at the most due to other huge servers that everyone plays and likes, no one will join a new one that no one knows about

yeh i understand but most servers not saying all only last a month or three
then your forced to start again and most admins/mods dont talk to each other (as in from server to server) so you arn't really able to just pick up your char and send it over to another serv and continue playing..
