    Choosing an [COLOR="Green"]XBOX

    Hey everyone!

I've made this thread today because i need help choosing an XBOX 360. I went to a few stores here around town, and I figured out that there's more than 1 type of XBOX 360. Such as the XBOX ELITE, XBOX PRO, and of course the original XBOX 360. Is there any difference in between them all? The reason I ask is because I don't wanna have to "pay more for less" you know.

    THNX 4 R33DING!!

There's no difference between the elite and the original, other than the hard drive size and color (the elite has a 120GB HDD rather than the originals 20(10?)GB.) You can get on xbl and play games with either of them the same way. I'm not entirely sure about the XBOX Pro. Try the xbox website to see the features of all of them.

Yeah, this about summed it up. If you want a game system that's great, but not expensive then go with the original xbox. It has more then enough memory (unless you have like 500 games), and it works perfectly. If you want to spend some more money then go with the pro. The elite is just a waist of money

For the best deal, I would definately choose the elite. All of my friends have it, and they have Hard Drive space to last them for quite some time.

Also getting a Gamebridge for Rockband / Guitar Hero helps out too, and a fan attachment for playing such long hours.

    :)

What he said, Elite is the best value, it has good looks to.

Halo edition is just looks, that's all.. so a huge waste of money.

Depends how much money you're willing to spend, personally I'd get the orginal, and get a bunch of games. But that's me.

Simply, yes. I'd say go with the elite set, you get many features like a great headset etc. Also I preffer the black and the more memory is nice if your going to go on XBL alot

If you were smart, you could just buy the original and mod a PC hard drive in? I've done it before, and it saves a lot of money. You also get a lot more storage, cheaper.

But someone stated that the original doesn't play in HD.

I'd recommend doing what Swan said but to the Pro since someone stated the Pro plays in HD and the normal doesn't. Pro has a 20g memory and Elite has 120g. So just go with the Pro and put in a 500g hard drive or something.

I have well had a 60gig PS3 (it got stolen) and i had 15gig of just music alone on it, then like another 10gig of demo's, trailers, pictures, themes and full games that i downloaded. So trust me, if your going online, you'll want a big hard drive. But put it in straight away, don't wait till your current gets full or otherwise you'll have to transfer data over which is simple enough but i'm one of those people that don't like doing work when it can be avoided.

Alright, Here is the ABSOLUTE Difference. Coming from a person who has played all three.

Elite - HDMI Cable and 120gb Hard drive. I also heard that it gets rid of the blank space on the side of the screen if your playing Halo 3 Splitscreen. Not sure though.

Pro- 60gb Hard drive. Yes, they updated it to 60. This is what you probably want, unless you are an extremist and really want the extra space.

Arcade - No hard drive, but comes pre installed with arcade games. Here's advice. Don't bother. I didn't have my hard drive for about a month. It was the worst gaming experience ever. You can't really play online games that require downloads (like map packs, etc). I couldn't play Halo 3 online except for maybe 2 playlists because I didn't have the map packs. No one really plays arcade games except for rich people with too much time on their hands.

What I actually did, was sell my old hard drive (20gb) and bought a 120gb off of some online store for $90. It is really gonna come in handy once the NXE comes out and install to HD is available.

You need the extra memory of the hard drive to play online, and the pro is plenty.
