I'm not trying to say who's right or who's wrong-

Staff tells users what to do, not the other way around. Suggesting, or requesting is completely appropriate. Demands and threats, however, are not.

 

Wendy, I'm all for that. But when you attempt to run a civil forum, it's just ridiculously chaotic to make rules based on personal policy.

 

Well, I don't agree with this, as for what Swan said. If someone breaks the rules somewhere, why would they let it slide? It makes no sense at all.

And Deacon, how could you tell such Mods to not be in the Spam Forum. If they didn't, the Spam Forum would have 1000+ pages to be sorted through. All of the Mods / Admins on this help respond to help out others when they are unavailable, and their help is what holds Sythe together as a Community. Without such a notion, then Sythe would be very unorganized and out of hand, and many more Mods would have to be made.

I mean seriously, do you expect just 6 Market Moderators to Moderate all 15 Sub-Forums of the Black Market? If you're saying that this is how the site should be, then there should not be any person allowed to report a post as Spam either. That is for the Mods of that section to deal with, according to your proposal.

Mods / Admins do a good job throughout Sythe. Don't judge them; they judge you.

 

The problem with this is not moderators going outside of their section; rather, it's a problem with a moderator not knowing what they're doing. If you feel that the latter is really the case, just take it up with an admin or something, because it's pretty clear that it isn't how it's working right now. . .

 

do you suggest we just ONLY read our own sections ? you moron. we have the power too move delete etc in our own sections but can warn/infract anywhere. Why should we stay only in our regular sections ? just because you got infracted your all hissy about it.... well have a cry somewhere else.

I have a feeling that there are quite a few power-hungry mods on this site. Now, if I were a mod, and lets say, Finniscool came in and started infracting people on my section, I would be pissed. It would make me look bad, and it would seem like an attempt for Finniscool to look better.

It must make the mod feel very powerful indeed.

Now watch me get banned for speaking my mind.

 

Power-hungry mods? I don't see how giving an infraction makes anyone feed their hunger for power... This isn't pokemon... giving more infractions doesn't make you more powerful...

The feeling of being pissed or someone trying to look better than you is something that you put behind you when you become a moderator. The best interest is the forum, not how you feel because someone gave an infraction for a post in your section. And that's exactly why people like you aren't moderators.

Get banned for speaking your mind? Do you have anything to support such a claim? Everyone in this thread that has been banned has a legitimate reason as to why.

This thread has gone far enough; nothing you say or do will change how the moderation system works; don't like it? Leave.

If you do not like a moderator, then keep it to yourself. There is no reason to be rude to a moderator just because he gave you an infraction. Grow up.

What happens to spam reports then? How does each mod pick out which reports are from their section?
