I think User Educators should be considered staff, yet in turn, becoming a User Educator should be made more difficult.

Considering the contribution they make to our forums, we should give them limited power in the User Educator forum, and consider them members of staff.

    Sound good?

Well I hope Tgump doesn't see this..

    Hehe...

I'm scared of what he will say >.>

And I think that UE's should be staff, but make it harder to become one. In turn, there must also be an Additional 1 or 2 Head User Educators, so that they may vote for those who shall be brought in, in addition to the UE's already on the Team.

    Hmm. Good thought.

I'll recompose my thoughts, and come back later with a different aspect of Pros and Cons.

    Hmm.

I'm hoping this is a sarcastic thread or you will never hear the end of this in the IRC...

Head User Educators are staff, that is it. Regular educators just post guides to "help people" and wear their epic rank.

i'm not welcome in this IRC.

And i've seen Deacons suggestion, but i don't really like deacon therefore do not care.

User Educators put more time into their contributions than most Moderators do, so why shouldn't they be considered staff?

And good thought on adding a few more HUE's.

As Darkgroove said here, HUE's are staff. Due to recent changes on the forums they decided to grant HUE’s mod powers. As for getting into the UE, it's completely based on an invite only status. In my eyes that is a very difficult way to get in, and it requires you to be very active and helpful in both the UE section and throughout the forums. I think it's unnecessary to give regular UE’s mod-like powers, even in the UE section. If and when they become an HUE, then they deserve such privileges. Just my 2 cents.

It’s like giving VB programmers mod privileges in the Programming section. It’s unnecessary.

    EDIT to post above:

We do appreciate people recognizing that many of us do put thought into our posts and contributions. It's just a little excessive to grant powers to normal UE's.

I don't really think they should have much power in the forums, just be recognized for their contributions.

Actually HUE's have had mod privileges since back when Macroman was a mod.

I was under the impression that Macroman's powers were only sectional, not complete mod status.

Since when do you know this? Do you calculate each time a moderator is on? Are you able to see their mod logs? Can you see the staff lounge?

All based on your opinion which is incorrect.

Perhaps UE's should not posess such a Mod-like power, but have the power to infract spammers?

Perhaps they should be able to lock useless Guides as well, and be removed from the UE if they make such a decision before asking The Dark.

Well, never mind that... because in asking TD, he would take care of it...

Anyways, I just think there should be 1 or 2 new HUE's, because TD is hardly active, and it should help the section.

There are Guides in the UE that do teach people things, Deacon, and apparently you have failed to read them thoroughly. Some Guides happen to involve a complete process from start to end, and actually help a particular individual in something that they very well needed.

Most Guides are made on a requested-basis, and therefore, helps that one individual out.

Some Guides, however, are very short and self-explanatory, and should be removed.

UE's are simply not staff. They never really have been.
