If you think about students were always being paid to do well in school. It just wasn't an immediate payoff like their doing.

    Do good in school+good grades+good job=Good Money.

/If your lazy now, do good in school so you can be lazy in the future

That's not always the case. You aren't getting paid to do well in school. A McDonalds worker isn't getting paid to do well in school. They're getting paid to flip patties, or whatever they may do.

School is simply a boost. That bit of hope when your back is against the ropes.

Getting paid to do well in school already exists. You do not get paid real money but you get scholarships. If you get into better schools with those scholarships, you can apply for things call bursaries which basically are free money from the government and can be spent on anything.

My parents pay me to do well. If I get Straight A's, -I normally get Bs.- They are buying me a Nissan 350z-2005, used- and a Gucci Suit. GO me!

Stupid. If the kids aren't going to try they shouldn't be at school. Bribing them isn't worth it.

DK, as has been said, you don't get a scholarship until you've finished schooling, and most are based on your grades or on an essay you write (where I am anyway). These payments are being paid before, not after you've achieved.

    ^^100th post ftw^^

Well my parents brought a situation up like this... and if i recall what they correctly stated then it was a long the lines of, the majority of teenage kids are on the street selling drugs, and if they could still make some profit while doing well in school, that that solution might work

    then again...:\

Same thing happens in chicago schools.
It's interesting, but I don't think kids really learn, they just know how to get a's. You don't need to learn material to get a's.

Ehh, this is quite a stretch but you're right, there are many ways to manipulate the courses for your advantage to not actually learn, but still get your good grades *cough* cramming *cough.* If students aren't willing to work without bribing them with money, why should MY parents have to pay to BRIBE these kids? We will always need low-income, low-education workers in America, and it's not like this is going to motivate people to LEARN, as Memos said. Learning and memorizing material are also two different things.

BTW Dropkick, if you're so against this, why are you so pro-illegal immigration? Both cost the taxpayers money with no obvious reward for the taxpayers. [Sorry, just a side track - I enjoy debating with you about the illegal immigrant issue, I'm just curious]
