What Lies Below *Member* Quest

Requirements

Requirements 35 RuneCrafting

Quests needed Rune Mysteries

Items needed Pickaxe, Chaos Talisman or Tiara, Empty Bowl, and 15 Chaos runes

Items Recommended Ability to kill Level-47 King and a varock tele port rune ( For a quicker job )

Starting Point South of the town of varrock





Step 1 Helping the Rat


Go south of Varrock and speak to Rat Burgiss. He is close to the sheep pin, and also he is there person you talk to, to start your Varrock Achievement Diary. He will tell you about how he was attacked and his important papers were taken from him. Rat will give you a folder that you must put the papers in once you've collected them. Travel East of Edgeville and West of Varrock. You must kill 5 outlaws.(Lvl 32)



Return to Rat. He will give you a letter told to be delivered to Surok Magis. Surok is located in Varrock Castle library.





Step 2 Enchanting the Wand

Items Bowl, 15 Chaos Runes, Chaos Talisman or Tiara, Pickaxe

Once the letter is delivered Surok will ask for you help. Agree. He asks for the regular bowl. He will then give you a wand, which he wants you to enchant for him. But first search the bookshelves for Dragon’hai History. Head northeast, as indicated on the map.




You will find that the Saradomin statue is over a tunnel. You will mine it and then enter the tunnel. This is a short cut to the chaos altar. Though you don’t have to enter it, you can choose to use the Abyss to get there or go into the wild. To make up time if you do choose to go into the hole, click the ladders on your mini-map. Once at the altar a mini-scene will occur, so that you know the wand is enchanted.




Once done return to Surok and he will give you a letter to give to Rat.


Step 3: The Final Battle


Items Armor, weapon, Food(optional)

Once you give Rat the letter he will tell you that Surok is attempting to control the King, and that Rat is part of the Varrock Palace Secret Guard or the VPSG as he refers to. He tells you to go talk to Zaff, the staff salesman, whom is also a VSPG member.

Zaff will tell you the instructions to defeating Surok. He will give you a beacon rin, amd once the King’s health is completely red, you should use it and Zaff will appear to finish off Surok.

Once all this is done return to Rat for your Reward
