The Effects of Marijuana

It seems to slow a lot of things down, and makes it easier to focus (definitely helped schoolwork in my senior year) but at the same time dumbs you down while under the influence.

It certainly isn't BAD for you, no, but it can definitely impair your judgement.

I just kinda sit around in a serious mood with a headache and burning eyes, I find it hard to concentrate when playing video games because everything moves so fast and I can't keep up, and I often eat an entire carton of ice cream without even looking at it once.

 

I usually smoke weed in my back yard or driveway. After finishing it, I usually chill outside for a while before returning inside. When I do return inside, my body feels extremely heavy. When you're high, colours are alot more vibrant. For example, if you look at a pool with the sun shining on it, it is extremely trippy. I find alot more things funnier when I'm high. Also alot more things will turn me on, and I can be more attracted to someone who I wouldn't normally be as attracted to(to a small extent). A while after smoking, you will get the munchies. You will get hungry, and food will seem alot better. Even when you know you are full, you will still want to keep eating. If I'm having a conversation with someone, and there is a pause atleast 10 seconds long, I will usually forget what the conversation was about. When I'm high, I will usually remember things from the last time I was high, that I wouldn't remember while sober. I often feel like things are unreal, as if its not actually happening, like if you were watching a movie of whats happening, or dreaming. I sometimes get very paranoid, and will get uncountable thoughts rushing into my head, and I will start spinning out. At this time, I usally try to sleep so I don't get sick. After being high for a few hours, you will start burning out, and will often get tired (especially at night). Sleep will feel like the greatest thing in the world at that moment. Before sleeping while burning out, I often get very horny for some reason (I don't know anyone else who does). I almost always dream when I sleep after getting high.

 

I smoke every weekend and so I know.. you get the major munchies, even the stupidest things sound and look interesting, you wanna get laid, deal very badly with the cops. And as a tip never do weed with ecstasy man crazy shit happens.

 

A strange effect is, that if you are near trees, a busy road or in a crowded room, the sounds become louder.
The sound of the leaves will turn into a noise, just like if you turned up the volume of a broken TV. The same is with cars driving by, on a busy road.
If you're in a crowded room, the voices graduatly become louder, and it's really freaky, hearing all those voices all together.

 

So I think we can all agree on the heightened senses:

Your desires for food come from your increased taste buds. I've eaten things that I won't eat when I'm not high cause they're disgusting, but when I'm high, the variety of flavor is almost always enticing.

Things smell better, in general, or worse if they're horrible odors to begin with. They usually have a heightened potency after you smoke, unless your nose is clogged.

When you touch something, you can feel just about every nook and cranny. It's as if your fingers are forming to whatever they touch. When something tiny touches you, you don't notice it for a few seconds, but you can pinpoint it exactly (such as a feather on your back).

Things generally can be a little dizzying, but your site is actually increased. You notice the little things like colors, bugs, and such. You're able to pick up on the tiniest of appearances (which would account for finding certain women more attractive as you can notice the good features, and interpret them along with your hornyness from the other senses).

Sound is a big one, if you listen to techno, for instance, while your high, all the quietest noises seem to echo loudly with the rest of it. As if you are hearing a whole new frequency. You may interpret it slower, but as you do, the song will become more exotic.

 

One thing I suggest people not to do, is take a class when you're high. It is one of the reasons I failed class 2 years ago, because when you're high, you forget everything the teacher says. Some say that you're focussed, but in my case, I wasn't.

I also got a question.
For me, being stoned is something great, because I only smoke once a few weeks. But if you smoke alot, like every single day 1 or 2 joints, doesn't the high get boring, because you're high all the time?

 

I smoke daily, its never boring for me. However, you do notice a heightened tolerance level from habitual use. All you must do to drop your tolerance level (get higher) is quit long enough for the THC to leave your system. (Depending on your metabolism, half-life for THC is 1-10 days)

 

I smoke atleast once every two weeks, and I can get high off of a ridiculously low amount of weed. Like, I'm talking 1-2 hits. I have a really high metabolism (I'm 130 pounds and 6'0). So if I started smoking more, It would take more to get me high? I'm debating on whether or not its a good thing that I get high off of so little. Cost-wise, it means I don't have to buy as much weed. But I also don't last long at parties and such, and I can get sick more easily (I've greened out a few times).

 

Ok im new here, so hello all

i have smoked marijuana on and off for a year or two, never been a heavy smoker (once a month, sometimes more depends on the mood really). But it has always been the usual experience you expect from weed ( really buzzed out, mellow, laugh alot, super munchies, thirsty minor cotton mouth etc).BUT, i smoked a joint from my usual dealer maybe two days ago, but i was kinda pissed off and smoked it alot faster and held it longer then usual, and maybe its due to my 'lightweight status', (i dunno) the effects where completely new and surreal.
Experiences :
Music, when i listen to music its not just better like normally on weed, but unreal, i was able to feel every single little note shoot through my body, i could see the notes and actually differentiate everything (note,tempo, duration etc) and i have no musical abilities, i am tone deaf basically. The music virtually took control of my body and allowed me to almost dance to it without trying.
Martial arts:
i practice martial arts, i am still in the fundamental stages in practice but i am very book smart in the subject, i.e (Forms, techniques, Sets, Combinations) But after smoking, i was able to manifest alot of the mental knowledge of the martial arts physically, my movement was improved ten fold (granted i am not no black belt) but for a novice, it was pretty impressive. (one problem:i woke up next morning and every single muscle in my body was aching as if i ran the marathon twice or something major, even some muscles that i didn't know about, on the bright side i was able to push my self alot harder and practiced more intensively).

anyways, i can go on about how incredible this experience was, but to be blunt, whatever the fuck it was that i smoked, it unlocked my creativity. i am still able to practice martial arts to the same extent but sober, and music has definitely stepped up several notches.

i hope i did not bore you guys but i felt should share one of the most amazing experiences in my life

i have a question. why is marijuana considered illegal? is it that the government cant make some green off it?

 

The government isn't able to tax it. People could be able to grow it and not be taxed if it was legal. However, if people had to pay permits to grow and sell it, it might be legal. That's just my opinion.

OT: For me the effects are; I feel like I'm floating sometimes. Then I get really easily happy and I laugh about nothing. Then I get a huge fucking headache.

To those who say it effects memory-
More people have long/short term memory problems and dont use pot then potheads : D

 

It is not a drug it is a plant that society has put out here to be "bad"

but it does pump me up at times, makes me more cautious and also willing to do mostly anything. lol

 

No, it's a drug, just like caffeine, alcohol and morphine. Although it is not as harmful as harddrugs or alcohol, it's still a drug, even if it comes from a plant. Morphine comes from a plant, cocaine comes from a plant, aren't those drugs than?
The thing society did, is make it worse than it is, by telling people (through propaghanda) that marijuana is bad and harms your brain and turns you into a crackhead, because it is a gateway drug (which is not).

 

because its the only thing that isnt in pill form so it's a plant..

ive basically just felt like everything turns to water its easier to talk if you try and time goes faster but seems slower thats all thats happened to me =D
