the future of rs cheating...

i cant believe that its been over 7 years now since that faithfull day when sixfeetunder created the first and only dupe using kait's autorune.



that day will go down in history as the only TRUE hack ever done in runescape, and yet there has yet to be another great hack in runescape..

i mean the cheating community is doing downhill, you have to pay to auto now and autoing is just stupid with all the detection the game has now.
thats it apart from stupid glitches and people trying to phis noob accounts there is nothing else.

world of warcraft has been succesfully hacked many times along with many other games, yet with runescape nothing.

i have talked to expert java programmers who have said it is possible.

maybe just maybe some patriot like Kaitnieks or SixfeetUnder will once again RISE and do something.

the cheating community is already heading downhill beacuse of the lack of content, i fear it will get worse...

I wasn't there for that fateful day, but I heard all about it from my friends who were.
RSbot is a decent start, but, as you say, Jagex have put ALOT of detection software into the game, which is making it harder and harder. I reckon, if you wanted to do this, you'd have to get at least 2 or 3 expert java coders and see what you could do. It would be interesting what could happen if they did actually find something.

 

Sorry to burst your bubbles but that is not the best hack ever done on runescape!

Durial123 or Durial321 hacked runescape and was pking in falador. now thats something!

Nahh dude, that was a glitch found in Cursed You's house. He didn't hack anything.

 

LOL that was just a bug, he didnt do anything special he just teleported out of fight arena and was able to attack outside.

 

oh my god if they managed to do this in RS2....

It is possible but I guess people advanced enough to be able to do it don't play Runescape lol.

The glitch isn't that hard to understand.

Every "option" corresponding to an item sends a remote procedure call to the RuneScape server.

When you do right-click+attack, for example, it sends a call to the server that looks something like doFunction("attack", "playerName").

The mistake on Jagex's part was that it only turned PvP "off" by removing the right-click attack option from players outside of the wilderness.

The house glitch merely bypassed the code removing this right click option, allowing players to send the procedure call through the GUI from anywhere.

Any software that could bypass the GUI and send procedure calls directly to the server would always have been able to attack anyone at any time.

Jagex has now fixed this at least for PvP - if an "attack" call is sent where there is no right-click option, you get a message that says "You can only attack players in a PvP area."

I'll bet, however, there are other similar glitches. What if you attempt to pick up an item that does not exist? What if you could send the "access bank" procedure call from anywhere?

There's definitely things to think about.

It's true, there is still a half decent glitching community. Glitching is actually loads of fun if you really get good at it.

Its very possible you can intercept the Packets being sent to Rs it's very possible to to send functions back to rs from your window just need to know your Pointers etc. Need very well understanding of java and there functions.

 

Durial123 or Durial321 (forgot his proper name) is a legend. Although I'm sure the massacre was accidental, he is still remembered today.

As for the future of RS cheating, I doubt it will ever stop. New programmers/coders will rise up, and more hacks/macros/bots will be created. It cannot be stopped!
