141 Infernal Capes Removed, 705 Total

Looks like Jagex has removed another 141 Infernal Capes yesterday, bringing the total amount of removed Infernal Capes up to over 700.

Were you unlucky enough to get caught in this wave? If yes, what method did you get your cape through (remote, vpn, proxy, no security measures), and how many days ago?

 

Bought 5 in total on all my alts from team viewer, never had any removed

Almost sure theyre not catchingn teamviewers. I just saw a “vouch” claiming someone got their cape removed on nonteamviewer though

 

Yep.. teamviewer is the only way I’d pay to have the service done.

 

Got one done via TV and I'm still solid about 5 months later so yea.

they cannot possibly detect or remove teamviewer capes lol.

 

Wow, wonder how much this will hinder the Cape seller section. I certainly woudlnt pay for one seeing this

 

You should be safe with a teamviewer service. It looks like the people getting banned are not doing their research prior to buying, or simply cheap out and buy the "unsafe" methods.

 

Interesting read. I agree, It's nearly impossible to track a TV cape. If you plan on purchasing a cape, make sure to do it through TV. It's not worth the risk using any other method.

The fact that they’re policing this shows how insecure they are about the cape. Their time could be spent on something more productive.

 

I want to get one, and it seems like teamviewer is the way to go.

 

Teamviewer is definitely the safest way.

I had my cape removed a while back. Method was proxy

 

Mod Sween just mentioned on the Q/A that about 471 people who have been identified as selling or buying Infernal capes will be banned tomorrow.
Including people who got one illegally in the past and then perhaps got it legally now. Those will be removed regardless as well.

It is unfortunate that people still buy cheap VPN'ed capes instead of using reliable services that have no possible way of being tracked such as Teamviewer.

There are plenty of reliable sellers out there if you do the proper research!
