White/Black (Racism) Debate.

First off, If this topic upsets anyone, I'll ask an Admin/Mod to remove it.

Ok, I'm a person who wants to know what YOU think about Racism. I know what Hitler thought was White people should be supreme, Gays shouldn't live... People call Nazi's racists. But if a Nazi called a black person a N****r people would call us racist. but on the other hand if a black person called a white person a Cracker, people wouldn't care and go on with their daily lives. If whites go and be proud of being white, people call us racist, again on the other hand if blacks say their proud of being black people cheer them on. One more.. If a white person applys for the same job a black person goes and the white person gets the job, The owner gets called a racist. To me, People don't understand the meaning of the word 'Racism'. It happens in the world everyday and people call other people racist for some of the smallest things.

Reply what you think Racism means and what you think about it.

 

honestly, the "n" word has became more of a term meaning crazy black person,bro , friend, gangsta, anything like that whencoming form blacks, when coming fom whites its a whole different story and black people are paranoid of white people being racist so then theyre always "hating" on whites causing more racism and its a never ending circle.

 

Your point is obviously very valid. And when people say that throughout history, there have been more harm done by whites on blacks than blacks on whites, the vast majority of gun-related crimes are done by black people, generally targeting white people. Yes, early on in America's history, we treated black people like shit and they were harmed greatly, but now we have a half-Black PRESIDENT because people felt too guilty to avoid voting for him. Honestly though, where I'm from, blacks and whites have a mutual respect for each other.

BTW, just as a side thought, the average African American has an IQ 15 lower than the average white man. This is again because of racism; we have given blacks the idea that they're going to be fucked anyways, so as a whole they are less motivated to succeed.

What about Asians and Indians? If you're playfully making fun of an Asian friend by saying, let's say, "herro preez, hows ur rice?" or an Indian guy by saying "how was ur curry last night?" Are you racist?

 

The vast majority of gun-related crimes are done by black people, true, but the majority of deliberate gunshot victims are black.

Correlating race with gun crime is not altogether fair either. The general rule is that poor people commit the most gun crime wherever you go, and unsurprisingly it is black people that are the poorest group in America.

This is a minor point. Black people live in poorer communities, generally get worse education, public services, easier access to drugs, poorer job opportunities. There are still loads of reasons for black people to fail, even if racism is entirely gone, which it hasn't.

 

Sometimes, people (usually blacks) who still think that anything a white person does that is 'seemingly' racist, is just trying to use a dumb excuse.

It's like you said about the situation where the manager is hiring either the black man or the white man; in America, it's against the law to discriminate against someone, so I don't see why the manager would take the chance of being arrested, risking his job.

Some people, here, in America need to realize that things have changed over the past 60/130 years.

 

Racism is a load of crack.
If a white person calls a black person a Dickhead or something, it's racist, but if a white person calls a white person a Dickhead then it's fine... (no, I do mean what I said then, I didn't mean to say black), I think colour is too important now. Who cares wether somebody's black/white, if you don't like them you don't like them. It's nothing to do with the colour of their skin...
Although I hate how Asians USE racism. In England a few years ago, Muslims tried to get CHRISTMAS LIGHTS banned from windows, because it's against there religion or something. They also tried to get rid of christmas songs...

 

Race and religion are two very, very different things. And what does this have to do with Asians? I meant Oriental Asians; the ones who are stereotyped as eating rice and using chopsticks.

But yeah, people try too hard to impose their values on others.

 

Religion usualy results back to racism, Say if... I was sitting on a bus with a friend and saw a muslim wearing the thing on her head, and i said... 'Look! She stole my towl!' that would come back to racism.

 

No, if you saw a Muslim wearing a turban and said "Look! She stole my towel!" [which totally doesn't make sense since only guys wear Turbans but w/e] that would be an ignorant comment. And no, it would not be RACism. You don't know what RACE the person is. If you're saying that because they are Arab, then you're dumb because not all Arabs are Muslim. But there are tons of Muslims who look like you and me.

Exactly, It means you are being ignorent to their religion which falls back on race... Muslims are the biggest supporters of their religion, so whilst we are paying out their religion we are also paying out them.

 

Racism, in my mind, is judging a RACE by what they do as a RACE. As a race, blacks are inferior to whites on quite a few levels. The only argument is whether blacks havn't been given an "equal" opportunity.

I mean why be racist? Whats so diffrent between white-black-hispanic, other then the color? Sure some may be an ass, but thats there personality, if people are going to hate, hate the personality, not there skins color, otherwise it makes no sence.

 

Why does it fall back on race? Only Muslims wear turbans, from my understanding. And WTF do you mean Muslims are the biggest supporters of their religion? I don't really get what you're talking about. What do you mean by paying out?

 

People belive that black people where put on the earth to be slaves, Some think otherwise. Maybe some people don't like the colour black? Maybe even some have had things done to them by other coloured people. No-one knows why people are racist, It just depeneds on the person who's be racist.

When i say 'The biggest supporters' I mean they belive in their god the most, They chose their god and basicly their whole country is muslim, They are their religion (hard to explaine).

 

You know, the 100+ years of lynchings and other suppressions had nothing to do with it, at all.

 

Anything applying a racial color to anything, is racism.

 

It's there fault for being in those communities. They can improve their lives and the lives for their children if they cared and tried to.

 

There is still one thing i don't get. When a white person says the "n word" the majority of black people would get angry and in some cased use it as an excuse for violence.

When a black person says it, in vernacular terms it's more like "friend, or anything of that sort." ( What's up my N----- )

 

Exactly, That's a reason why people are racist... Some people think they don't try to put effort in to provide the best for their family.. People think blacks are worthless because they can't provide... That is only one reason why some people are racist.
