    will this computer run tf2?

In my opinion, it SHOULD run it.

I'd consider getting a different laptop with a dedicated video card though. And also, the source engine I believe only uses a single core, and unless you're using the dual core for something specific like gfx design and such... But yeah, it should run it at least, but I wouldn't settle for that.

Also, why go for a laptop? Believe me, at a glance it seems awesome, but once you have it for a little you'll be wishing that you should've just gotten a Desktop.

actually I just want a laptop that runs tf2 or Css smothly. My family travels around the world constantly and I don't think I can bring a desktop. I will use for school and stuff also. On steam it says that you should have dual procecers also. Thanks for the fedback and I'll see what other people will say before I change

Do not get that laptop you wouldn't even be able to run on low.I suggest you get one with a dual core, and a 8600gt or 9600 they should run perfect.

It is a dual-core you nutjob.

I think it will easily run tf2. My laptop runs tf2 with worse specs than your computer.

Tru3, You made no sense. The graphics would run TF2 on everything Low, perhaps getting away with Medium. Then your RAM, If you run it, you won't be able to have any other program up with it. Don't buy that Labtop it's bad.

Don't listen to Fumo. buy whatever kind of laptop you want. but IMO it would run it, but like Fumo said the graphics would be low. but Gateway's aren't very good gaming Cp's/Notebook's.

When you buy tf2 it says what your computer will need to be able to use it, and if the laptop has the same, or over it should be find if its not then you may have some problems.

The computer you've linked to, as many have said, will probably run TF2 at a lower graphics setting. It seems to be a reasonable computer, but what it is really missing is a dedicated graphics card, something that, if you really want to play graphics intensive games on your computer, is a necessity.

One of the major disadvantages to buying a laptop is the fact that in most cases you will NOT be able to upgrade your GPU, especially if the GPU you started with is an integrated one, as seen above. Considor this before you purchase: if you get a laptop with a weaker GPU such an integrated one, you will have to buy a whole new computer if you want to play a more graphic processing intensive game. Sometimes its better to just shell out an extra $200 initially to make sure that your computer stays competitive. This also means you'll also be able to play newer released games, something that is usually worth the extra money.

For around 850-900$, you can ussually get a computer with at least a dedicated Nvidea 8600 GPU. My friend got his laptop with the 9500 chipset recently, and paid around 900$; Ill try and find his laptop and link it here later.
