Vouch system?

I don't see why we just have this that we just vouch for each other after a trade. It's kinda like spam, just thank each other. Why not make a option like a button you press to vouch for someone. For example: you just had a good trade and you would like to thank the seller/buyer. You just press a button and you have to fill in something like "Vouch for *name*. Smooth trade!". Then you have something under your postcount "Vouches: *number of vouches*". I think this is much better than endless long pages with vouches... And if someone wants to see the vouches (s)he clicks on "Vouches: *number of vouches*" and (s)he will see all the reactions of other forum members.

 

Because as mods state vouches are useless unless you have 25+ vouches from a specific forum (like pin selling) and they mean nothing unless someone went first to you. The new way to keep vouches is to put them in your profile, hopefully people will start using/checking there for other's vouches.

 

vouches are seen by users for how trustred that user is. e.g If I had no vouches would you feel comfortable going first to me? or in my case 80+ vouches from other users who have gone first to me?

Yes, but if players like R2Pleasent would post all his vouches in his sig you still would get alot of unneeded time to scroll down when visiting a threat of him.

I don't see why you wouldn't prefer a single number except of huge lists of vouches? They are still vouches but they are just "smaller".

 

I think, after a trade you click on the person's profile and click a big red vouch button, then the person whos button you clicked's vouches goes up by one. It's alot easier as snappie said.

It's an ok idea, but tbh I think the system were using now is perfectly fine, so why change it?

 

To be honest I could care less how many vouches people have.

I only care about price in trade, join date and post count together.

So if someone joined in 2007, and has 1,000 posts and $500 in 5 vouches, I'll trust them more than someone who joined in 2008, has 10,000 posts, and $5 in 500 vouches.

Not to mention you'll have to go back to all the old users you've traded with and ask them to hit the button. And not to mention some of those users COULD be banned...
