I bet if 600million people invested in a "Girl" only about 10% would succeed and if all did succeed think about the over flow of business. About half of the businesses would be out of business.

Okay, so if 10% of the girls succeeded, it's 60M more girls like this one, just from being given the opportunity. That's a lot of influence shifting, isn't it? Plus, it would give the entire world a feeling like "well, at least we tried," ya know what I'm saying? But I guess I see your point about over-flowing business..sort of...

That's really nice to hear. I don't think this video is necessarily 100% correct or anything, but it's just nice to have an open mind, and it's good that you successfully did that.

 

how about we focus on making the world a better place for everyone: not just girls, not just guys?

The amount of money it takes to get those 600million girls to get an opportunity is huge. Even if given the opportunity a lot will somehow messed it up whether it be their fault or just their life that forbids them to succeed. The overall profit from this is less than 0, as an educated girl won't change the world. With a lot more, the money it took will just make it useless.

Unless they are funding special girls or boys with extraordinary abilities then it will work out, which I'm sure some organizations are doing.

 

This isn't feminist. This is about global equality; life for guys in the developing world is INFINITELY easier than it is for girls. That's what this is promoting; donating money to a girl could ultimately lead to her freedom from society's limitations. Don't you feel they at least deserve a chance?

The 600M girls was for persuasive effect. Obviously, we're not planning on doing it for 600M girls, nobody is. They're planning on setting a PRECEDENT, that hopefully will be followed. Which step in the logical chain is broken in the video? Of course, the massive inductive reasoning. That being said, everything else is very plausible and donations could change their lives around.

But fair enough, all opinions are respected.

This video is too farfetched, do you really think, that in a world like this, one single girl can improve the world with her cows? They try to remove the problems from the girl, like AIDS, but you can't cure AIDS (yet).
This video maybe makes an impact on alot of people, but that doesn't do anything yet. If you want the world to be a better place, you have to be organized, have the masses support your cause before you can even start something.

And why should it be a girl?
