Ok... I seriously think some people will answer these questions in a very idiotic way of what they "know" about the "Prophet"/"Son of God". Especially those who have thought of a prejudice nature

    Here goes:
If Jesus existed, what ethnic origin/racial background was he? And what religion did he practice while he lived on Earth?

    Ill give my answer:

He practiced Judaism until he started to correct its laws. Then he formed a new version of Judaism with the corrected laws, teaches and practices. For those who think theyre a Christian because they go to church - *BUZZER*. Read the next you may base your life on or relate to there many many other things you should do before you even do what God may have told you to do on the Sabath - which is keep it Holy is spending some of your day paying worship; with others or not. Not going to a building and doing whatever they tell you to do.

And Jesus was an Aramaic speaker which is an Afro-Asian language. He lived in a country full of semites and some people of a Negro/African native background. One of my Christian friends compared the people the land that Jesus lived in to modern Egypt which has a great mix of ehtnic backgrounds.
    I agree with this generalisation

No one knows what background he was but I very much doubt he was anything paler than the modern "Arab" as this would have been very uncommon. He was probably an Aramaean

Proove me wrong... I think I am. But you cant proove it and neither can I

Take a guess and give some "evidence", and have fun :D

EDIT- and "Christianity" is obviously a man-made word... just like all are. "Christ" means "The appointed" - often refering to a King or ruler. The original Bible *cough* is there suich a thing? refers to "Jehova" once translated. I think a better pronounced translation is Jahfaevah with a very quick "f" and the h sounding like getting gathering some grog to spit out. Jehova is God and Hezues (Jesus) is a "part of God"
So thats why I refered to what can be known as Christianity as a new Judaism as it was the same religion with updates - just like runescape after HD and pvp with the PKing wild taken away ;) lmao

Actually in the bible it says jesus was of the skin of bronze......so in the bible he is black skinned, but since english artist painted the bible, they showed him as white.- no i dont believe in god because no proof.

True, true. I havent had an in-depth look into every single passage in the Bible but I have a fair grasp of contradictary parts and easy quotes to prove "Christian" hypocrits wrong.
I could go on for days on the flaws of every major religion I have studied.

but I do agree - the Bible has many descriptors of peoples' skin colour and appearence.
    "David was ruddy"
Abraham recruited Negro Egyptians into his tribe
Many people are "Natives of Cyrene" and these natives are Negro
Ill add more if you like

and a quote (perhaps with a wording error or 2 by me) from the translation of the Bible by Paul
"neither Greek nor Jew; slave nor free; male nor female - for you are all one in Jesus Christ"

Very few people are truely Christian these days - and I mean that in a sense that they follow a corrupt set of rules or practices that are obviously man-made (Im talking 15th century and later... c'mon) and others follow what could be the "true" religion but with a corrupt mindset

My theory is: I want there to be a God - so does everyone sort of... especially if there was no sign/mention of one. For this reason I believe many Gods were created by humans - some inteligently and some not so

and I dont get why Chrstians can get annoyed with people saying "for God's sake" when they do not mention aything to do with the Christian God, they are not causing the Christian to break any rules and I can sit and drink a pint of beer infront of my Muslim friend. His religion does not state that he should not tolerate me drinking alcohol... and Christianity states that YOU follow the fucking rules - and if someone uses yet another man-made word in something that may stupidly cause you offence then go and kill yourself. What you base your life on is meanless then lol

Who are you to talk about someone's beliefs ?

Leave that to shredderbeam, we do not need a wannabe.

Edit: The things you talk about are stupid. You asked " What religion did he practice? "

Jesus of Nazareth was born in modern day Israel to two Jewish parents. I believe there is enough proof to validate the lineage of Jesus provided in the Bible, as it is recorded in other Jewish historical documents as well.

Although there are some discrepancies, Jesus has common ancestry in both accounts. The lineage of Jesus is recorded in two places: Matthew 1:1-17 and Luke 3:28-38. It seems as if these two genealogies of Jesus contradict. Historical scholars believe that Luke is referring to the genealogy of Mary and that the genealogy recorded in Matthew is of Joseph. The Matthew genealogy follows Joseph, through David's son Solomon. Luke follows Mary's line, through David's son Nathan.

The current dominant opinion among historians and scientists is that he most likely had olive skin, resembling modern-day persons of Middle-eastern descent.

Whether you love him or hate him, believe in his divinity or not- I think its safe to assume he looked like everyone else around him in that time.

He was born Jewish. His mother was jewish, but his father wasn't, and according to Jewish law (I would know, Im jewish) if your mother is Jewish your Jewish regardless. However, there are some theories that he re-formed the religion, blah blah. Whatever, he was defiantly Jewish, but what religion he practiced, that's hard to answer

You're right about Jewish inheritance through the Mother, but your wrong about Joseph not being a Jew. His ancestry follows back through to King David... Non-religious historians affirm.

Another thing, Jesus didn't practice religion, in the traditional sense. Its a bit unfair to label Jesus as a Jew since he did not follow Jewish practices and laws. Yes, although he acknowledged the God of the Jews as his own, he did so in a very different way. Christianity was founded on his teachings, acts, and beliefs, not his religion.

    Firstly, jesus did exist.
The person jesus has been stated by scientist as and acctuall human being from the same period(abit off in the year 0 tho, he was acctually born about 5 years before year 0). he was born in Israel, and was a jew.

    i think that's correct.
theres a documentary you may find if you search around with the words "grave+jesus", where they find a gravetoomb, with the name jesus, and 12 acctual names encountered in the bible(disciples etc).

in the other hand, i dont believe in jesus as and acctual prophet or anything, i just mean, historically he has existed. Religiously it may be larger doubts(in my oppinion).

But a real; person is a person - not the son of God lol. Thanks for your comments dudes

    According to you...?
Personally, I believe he was, along with 2.1 billion other people on this rock.

"YAR@!, anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the son of God is a fool... lol."
See how stupid and ignorant that sounded?

Not everyone thinks the way you do. Its something you'll probably have to get used to if you plan on staying.. (On planet Earth that is)
