Ive made my own decisions about religion nd politics because I dont trust anyone else to make decisions for me. When I have kids I will let them follow their own path - and choose what they want in life but for everything I tell them I will tell them the other argument, the other side of things. Of course - I always explain my case because I think Im right quite a lot of the time but people should make their own decisions and not take influence from a lot of people - especially their parents. That doesnt mean I dont think parents should be rolemodels - they just shouldnt force their views upon their children

Not necessarily true, i know a lot of my friends are brain washed by the media and parents, It's happens everyday, and some minds are more mature then others, but then again maturity is a state of mind like insanity. I, personally have read the bible 2 or 3 times, and i have found countless contradictions in it, Most people simply believe because they are told to, Kids at young ages are the MOST influenced

But parents try so hard to impose their views on the kids that it's like hard not to, but yeah - I have totally different views on politics than my parents, etc. I do agree iwth their choice on religion, but only because I like the Jewish community.

You can formulate your own thoughts and opinions, but what language do you speak? The language of your parents. When we're really young, it's really tough to break bonds/unlearn what we learned.
