Spam

There are many reports of Spam on Sythe everyday...

I was wondering..

Not all people report people just for spamming, but also Sig Violation

Might there be a way that when you report a post, there may be a scroll down bar somewhere saying "Why are you reporting this post?"

And the options can be "Spamming" or "Sig Violation", among other choices.
(can't think of any)

Thoughts or opinions? I'm glad to see them. Post here please.

 

Not needed, all you have to do is report post and let them know there's a sig violation or just pm a mod or someone, it'll eventually be dealt with if you just tell someone, it's not needed.

 

Still it's more organised, Cfrey already suggested this though.

 

Ah, I see. I never check for these things because I don't pay attention to most User Suggestions. Sorry that I've spammed then. =(

too bad its a good idea but i agree there should be a more organized way of spam reporting

 

why do you really want to report someone for sig violation do you think you will get a mod position like on runescape?

also it's not needed a mod will see a sig violation and correct it like mines

 

I agree easier ways of reporting spam would be nice.

Especially since it happens more often than not.

The Spam Forum is there for reported people that Mods / Admins don't have time to look for. They don't really care to look for it, and rely on the Community to report it.

No one does it thinking they'll become a Mod.

Cfrey resigned, and he reports people for spamming all the time.
He doesn't care for his Mod position back.

The report a post option is based pretty much to stop spam. When reporting a post it reads "Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. " Honestly, ive never really looked at someone's signature and been like "Z0mg, liek wtf its wayy tew big!!11 [X]REPORT". I mean sure, you might think "Wow..thats annoying"..but when it comes down to it, signature size is a rule, just like any other rule here on sythe. Mods and admins should be the one's who take notice and action.
