And also which countrys you think have suffered the most.

As the topic states, i am ensuing necrotopicing, that is, the reviving of an old topic.

Please, state which came first, the chicken or the egg, and a good reason why.

The Chicken came first, because something had to make the egg.

    Our Economic Failure?

I've searched it many times, looked up definition, read about it in wikipedia, etc. and still don't have a simple grasp on the phrase "knock on wood".

It seems so simple yet misleading but what does it truly mean?

If I said "I never had to knock on wood", would that mean I never "cheated death"?

I put this discussion topic in Something for All vs. General Discussion because it's meant to be taken seriously so please do so.

    Our Economic Failure?

In America at least, it seems for the last century or so, we've been working daily to rid ourselves of racism. Months ago, I would say we've come a long way as far as racism and aside from regular ignorance, we're not usually faced with racist situations 24 hours, 7 days a week.

With today's elections and the weeks preceding them, there appears to be an "uprising" in racism.

By simply logging on facebook, what used to be a kind and friendly site, I'm now seeing "America is going to elect a black and muslim president?" from regular people I know and pass regularly that wouldn't drop an "n bomb" after spotting a black person or call a muslim a terrorist.

Has society simply brushed racism under the carpet and have it still highly in abundance or have we seriously reduced it?
