Problem, help please.

Hey i think my brother did something to my pc, so that i can't go on rs anymore. (im not allowed to play)

I'm not sure what he did this time, i checked if he put runescape.com in blocked websites, but it wasn't, i closed my avg to see if he did something there to block rs, but still same problem.

what could i possibly do, besides formatting my pc lol

nahh... get Google chrome... it's realy good, althought it's just beta yet but it doesn't wast much space for menu,tabs and so on so u get more like full screen if u aren't member...
Chrome starts a new process for each tab u open so if one craches, the other ones wont be affected which is good... the negative parts is that it takes pretty much of your RAM and CPU if u have many tabs opened...
aahh, i realize that this text looks like shit, but download it and u will see what i mean... or simply get Firefox

 

Alternatively format your PC and put a code next time.

I see no reason to format an entire harddrive just for a stupid pixel game >_>

Recommendations: Download a new and better browser (Opera, Firefox, Chrome) and reinstall Java.

 

I've talked to him, he has different browsers, same problems, he reinstalled java, same problem, so his brother most have done something else.

 

Few possibilities:

Peer Guardian - Blocks certain http's, simply access the program, and allow http.
Firewall - Blocking the display of certain images and such.
Ad Block - Super enhanced to prevent images/css files
Settings - Blocking any form of cookies, etc.

What's happening is the CSS is not displaying properly because your computer isn't allowing it. Those are some things you could look into. Also try clearing your cookies, disabling your firewall, etc.

 

Even mine does that sometimes.

Try a system restore?
