Focusing on text..

Right so im learning on how to get better at text, then i will be learning where to position it..

This isnt really about the sig.. Just the text

I followed a tut from planetrenders

 

No just no, never put text in corners (only place in corners if it interferes with the focal/can't be placed because of effects) or use an bevel and emboss on it, try to keep it simple and try to blend it in with the tag and try to keep it simple.

Taken away the Light and Darkness so i just have Gaxx instead

Like Haunted said, don't bevel it,
it doesn't fit, and its not the right color for your tag,
try pixel fonts for now with little to no effect

Bevel = fail

Try different blendings, like outer/inner glow. Mess about with it a bit. Duplicate layers and stuff.

Yeah stay away from shadow (pretty much anything that makes it look 3D) and all the other text effects in photoshop when designing a signature. Because it does ruin it more than it already is.
