[DENIED] Suggestion: Require people to specify who went first for Vouches

As title says, too many people (new ban evaders) joins, then donates, then farm easy vouches and then scam quits.

By requiring all vouches to specify who went first, it could perhaps mitigate the ease of how scammers currently abuse the Sythe system.

Its a small amount of effort for the trader and can help many users down the line when deciding if they should trust someone or not. I would like to see this changed, you have my support.

i support this for gold vouches as it will not mislead users (especially new) into thinking someone has been trusted with huge amounts when realistically they went first. as for services and other vouches i think its more of a thick line since its much clearer (imo) whose the provider/customer but id support it for all vouches as well i guess.

 

Well this wont stop vaders but it will be harder for them to build reputation so support from me.

What ABM said is right, there is no way to regulate this unfortunately.

I support your suggestion but I don't see them implementing it because of the aforementioned :/

 

As much as i would like this, i don't think there is a practical way of doing it. I'd offer only leaving vouches to people you go first to but then we would have a problem with all the vouches gained prior the rule and no way to handle it

 

Not practical. I get the point and reasoning but have fun telling Searchy to delete 1500 vouches or have every user edit their vouches sure, you can do it moving forward but if you want the biggest “change” it’ll be to further educate new users that using a OMM is much smarter and then make the OMM use much easier. The system surrounding OMMs is what the real issue is

 

Quite simple, any new vouches from the date this suggestion is approved must follow a template, just like report threads. If it doesnt, report it and mods will remove.

 

Can't retroactively change vouches prior to this change, but it's always better to start positive changes later than never.

 

No support, especially when there are people like you who are too high horsed.

It will cause major friction for the forum users who want to trade in general, if you’re worried someone has traded more than you, then simply make a suggestion that we can’t have “[5000000000000M traded] and stupid stuff like that.

 

The one thing I'd be okay with is requiring a certain amount of vouches for account selling.

 

Amount traded woud be the same. Only difference woud be that you coud actualy see if guy went first or second on his vouched trades.

 

Which in theory would make no real relevancy to how trading can/should work.

 

Has nothing to do with 'traded amount'.

This is simply to stop people from making a new sythe, farming easy vouches, and then scamquits when innocent users fall for their 'good prices'.

Many instances of this occuring in the past few months. (All mostly $100-200 donators, joined within last 6 months, and 100-200 vouches of 90% of them with them going first)

 

I don't think it should be a requirement but more recommended that if you feel like a user is trying to farm vouches with malicious intent there's no harm in stating they went first when leaving a vouch

 

Still wouldn't stop people from farming vouches or anything.

This would require one to scan through the vouches and then base their judgement if or not it's safe to go first (obviously, this would provide a tad bit more verification but we know how lazy homosapiens can be)

I think that the voucher won't actually do this because they just don't care. Maybe someone like me and you would, but the majority would probably not.
