    computer locks up while trying to install
    my computer like locks up/crashes when i try to install that 2.4.3 - 3.1 WOW patch.. all other patches installed fine. IVE BEEN WITHOUT WOW FOR LIKE 2 weeks now !! :( thats alot for an addict o_O my computer just completely freezes to the point where u cant alt + ctrl + delete
    i have to just reboot any help is greatly appreciated :(

    Have you checked the requirements for the patch? Is your DirectX updated? Have you tried re-downloading it?

    Etc.

    Yeah this happened to me while actually trying to install WoW.
    All I did was keep taking the discs out and rubbing them off till they worked.

    I have had it freezing on patches to before aswell.
    Basically just close everything you have running to speed it up and keep restarting till it works.

    Are you downloading the patch using the WoW downloader? IF you are, try downloading it from a mirror site.

    ive tried mirror sites but the installer in them never work.

    EDIT: if i bought a wow CD in a store again, would it already include all the new patches?
    i can install the game in 1/20th the time as it takes to install this patch
