    Gaming Monitor - need help
    Hi,
    I want to start playing console games on a desktop monitor.

    Console
    -Xbox One X
    Game
    -PubG

    Am i better off getting a 4k monitor or a 1440p monitor?

    I’m looking to spend up to 700$ CAD
    Thanks for your time and any recommendations.

    Gaming Monitor - need help
    This is just personal preference but for a gaming monitor I'll always go for refresh rate/fps over resolution.

    1440p with a decent refresh rate and low response time would be my pick

    I believe so but the x console can go up to 120hz. I believe 4k will lower FPS on a console

    4k monitors can easily get 60 fps on a ps4 pro or xbox one x if u have either one of those

    I have a Asus 144hz monitor.... It's the way to go for FPS games. If you play rpg or games that doesn't depend on high response you should go for high resolution ones

    Gaming Monitor - need help
    4K is waste of money. The list ranking from importance:

    number 1) refresh rate. The biggest gamechanger when it comes to gaming hardware, this smoothness is what really makes a difference

    2) Panel type. If you afford non-tn, non VA panel with 120hz +-then spend the money trust me, high refreshrate with TN panel is a shitty compromise. Outside of gaming such panels arent good for anything.

    3) resolution. A good old 1920x1080 is good enough for most cases. Not really important factor while searching for gaming monitor
