The Existence of God

Do you have proof that god exists? if so please inform me a bit more

as i see it, no, god doesnt exist.
If god were almighty could he make a rock he could not lift? if he did then he is not almighty.

therefore, on that basic fact, that every bible says god is almighty(to my knowledge, which is rather small.)God isnt real.

if so, then i would like to see solid proof..(the bible could be faked by the government to keep americas hopes up for all you know..)

 

There is no proof. That's why it is called faith. If there was solid proof, then obviously every one would have faith.

Why just Americas hopes? America isn't the only Christian country...

 

Faith is not a rational way of knowing truths about the universe, for anybody can pick any outlandish belief, and choose to "have faith in it".

I never said it was rational. I do not believe in a God. Any body that does believe in a God does have faith.

 

Here's my opinion on it:

1. There is not enough evidence that god exists, other than some documents and the prophets, who could have just been crazy people running around telling stories and saying "the almighty" said all of it, when they could have written it down by themselves just like Joseph Smith did. (not to offend anyone)
2. As you noticed, the newer religions aren't believed as much as the old ones, because people from 1500 years ago weren't nearly as smart as we were now, and even believed in magic. That kind of tells you how religion got into place anyway.
3. I actually believe that the universe always existed. I do believe in time travel through "worm holes" which basically says if space is curved, you can go somewhere millions of years quicker than it would have taken, going straight there.
4. I believe the universe is an infinite never-ending space, and there could be a god, but maybe he's just the guy our galaxy lies on (e.g, compared to the human body, we are the cells of god)

All in all, I do not believe that god is the almighty but he/she/it could very well exist. I mean if he was the "almighty" then why can't he bring his ass down to Earth and just settle this dispute?

[EDIT] By the way, if god exists, he doesn't live in our galaxy because first people said he's in the cloud, WRONG, then they said he's in space, WRONG. Anyway, this means I don't believe any of that "there's a cloud shaped like god", "i saw a ghost", "i saw god's eye" and other crap like that.

 

The bible is just like a chain of one statement.

If you line up 50 people in a row, and you tell the first person "Socks are smelly, pass it on"... When you get to the 50th person they'll say the initial statement was "There were Flocks of Nelly"

You know, every story starts true, and is always changed into something obscure. No one will ever tell a story the same as it had been created. This is evident for things of all nature, as nothing stays the same.

Huge fault in the Book of Life, which changes as day turns to night, and night to day.

 

But can you prove it on the bible?
The bible was used to make profit by churches, selling indulgences in europe, making false beliefs, Even calvinism, or lutherinism makes more sense, but athiest is the best path to choose.

 

The whole conversation could be change by stating, Prove god doesn't exist, thus no evidence, but finding no evidence that he doesnt exist, doesnt mean he does not
Prove time exist,
Its all relative, beind an athiest, it can easily be put as the same concept as time
Humans had to create the system of time, because it could not be easily found, same as god...

 

Yes, but the burden of proof is upon the one who asserts a positive, so it is rational to disbelieve in God until some actual evidence is shown.

 

Yes i do , but i think everyone should keep their religion to themselves instead of shoving it down other peoples throats.

Don't Pester Shredderbeam... because he has some very supportive views that I believe to be correct.

 

Basically both sides are right, as humans we view things differently from one-another. So in the concept whats right in our eyes, or whats their in our eyes is not what is their in another mans eyes. We choice to believe in something, then believe in nothing.

 

It's gana be like polotics, you'r parents say there voting ofr McCain then who the fuck you gana like more? Same thing with religion, You do not realize it but your being brain washed by you'r parents.

 

Whether or not God exists is an objective issue. He either does or doesn't. One side must be objectively wrong.

 

So you're arguing that he MUST or must NOT exist, but there is no evidence of either side, people just believe that he might to make them feel something awaits in the after life, while other people think it's silly , but either way people should not argue about God existing or not, it's just the believers or non-believers opinion, hence no evidence has been applied that he does exist, or evidence that he does not exist.
You're arguing for something that you can't possible find any evidence to support your statement, While i could.

 

There is also no evidence against invisible pink unicorns in the sky, but that does not mean that the question of their existence is up in the air, 50/50, unresolvable by current knowledge. People disbelieve in things that have no evidence to support them - the burden of proof is upon the asserter of the positive statement.

 

You know even if there was 100% evidence that there is no God, there are millions of people who hate to be proven wrong and will just keep on believing, and the other millions of other people who will just keep telling you there is infact a God even if there was evidence he didn't exist.
