    This. These type of events are always a popularity contest. we actually initially devised a tier based MOTM format when we first brought it out. Having win multiple times and having a different colored medal isn't enough incentive for the community to participate.

    Should we change up member of the month:
    For the popularity contest point although that does hold true I'm sure there could be a way to combat that like when CDT/staff got to give a final say from the top candidates (or something like that forgot exactly how it worked since it's been a while). I like the tier based thing though, maybe a fun-rank, and/or prizeboxes/pokemon miniranks along with a different tier minirank for someone who wins it again or 5 times or something along those lines (just giving out ideas I guess). I know most people care about the market, but I'm sure adding stuff like this could provide more incentive.
