    buying a new laptop..

well, I was looking to buy a new laptop- my budget is 1500 MAX.

I dont want to spend that much but if I have to I will; I know it isn't alot, but it's what I got to work with..

I want something that I can have ALOT of songs on, and can hold alot of games.. I'm not very computer-smart..

I don't want another mac, just had one and I was satisfied but it limited my abilities to game with and whatnot..

Also I want something with a good life expectensy, I start college next fall and would like to have it for quite sometime.

Alienware is probably your best bet unless you are planning on building your own. Alienware makes great gaming laptops with tons o' memory and high-end components.

    $1499 - Area 51 m15x - 15.4 inch

    $1299 - Area 51 m9750 - 17 inch

Alienware are so overpriced. That $1499 laptop only has 1gb memory and a 256mb 8600 until you customize it and double the cost.

    This is very true.

Go for a laptop with 2GB+ RAM, a HD with alot of space, Good CPU and Video card. Keep this in mind though...Don't buy a laptop to do serious gaming, get a desktop for that.

    Hello Miss799 Apprentice

    buying a new laptop..

Not really, all you have to do is take off the screen, take off old video card, put new one on..

I did on my old one along time ago following instructions and it was pretty easy
