Not bad. I like the last gorillaz one. I think you should try experimenting with brushes. On the gorillaz ones you should have had a render layer under whatever you did and erased over the render. And maybe added in a gradient map. Good job though. 7.5/10

and I don't like using brushes for anything buy smudging

I'll mess around some with brushes for bg's, but usually brushed bg's look absolutely horrible from me.
