[DENIED]Give a long-ish temp ban for 2twcs in a short timefrime.

I think that the twc system is a good asset ,but it does not always stop/bother users enough to change their poor trading practices,of course some people change instantly as they realize the mistake they've made but some just do not care as they are high amount donators anyway and people trust them nonetheless. There have been some examples lately,I will not name them but you all know who I'm talking about. I am proposing a new rule in which if you get more than 2-3 twc's in a short timeframe you are to be banned from the market for x amount of time,preferably something noticeable so that ignorant users actually feel the effect of the practices they have imposed on others.Have a nice day.

 

I'd say ban should be mandatory if a user gets twc for same thing twice, as it shows he didn't learn from the mistake

 

this is basically already done but i would like to see less leniency. rungold should have had this punishment long ago

 

I agree that users should be banned after multiple TWC's. The punishment should stack also, if you get 2 in a year you receive x amount of time. 3 in a year x amount of time + x amount of time.

 

Yeah.. there needs to be some sort of re-work to the way TWC's are currently handled. Rungold getting 7 TWC's for the same type of offense before catching a ban? It's unacceptable to allow that, in my opinion.

 

Completely agree with this, it will give TWC's more weight in terms of a punishment. A suggestion could be also increasing the time between in which said member can dispute their TWC. Although they now do serve a purpose, there needs to be an implication as you've mentioned for repeat offenders so they're not easily shrugged off and staff are stuck going through the same routine with the same members.

 

I'll offer my support, If someone has the TWC for the same thing I especially agree with this.

 

Simple solution could just be:

X amount of TWC's received within X timeframe = Market ban for X length

Or

Code:

X amount of TWC's received = Market ban for X length

Differing factor being whether the frequency of the TWC's received is relevant or not.

Another aspect of consideration would be whether the time a user maintains their TWC counts towards the 'X timeframe', or the timeframe is only counted when the user has successfully appealed their TWC.

I.e., User A is given a TWC on 1 Jan 2019. User A successfully appeals the TWC on 1 April 2019.

User A is then given TWC no.2 on 1 May 2019.

Is TWC no.2 based on the time lapsed between Jan - May, or April - May.

Honestly there is more however that goes on behind the scenes when it comes to banning / TWC/DNT a user.

We as the public don't get to see everything that the mods put into deciding what to do and when to do it.

I hope to see some mods/ admins comment here and get some community agenda plan going when it comes to a rework of the TWC/DNT/Ban system thats currently in place.

They do the best they can with what they have that's visible.

You can get twc by ip mismatch or using vpn etc . I dont think the punishment is justified on such cases.

 

I agree with this as a whole, if you receive the same punishment for the same thing, then the effects should not be additive, but rather multiplicative.

It also took about 2 years for @Gun to be removed from this site after about 10 dicing scams and 15 releases of personal information. Just to name another folly

 

I'm starting to slap people for many TWC's.

 

TWC is there as a visible notification for users to take care with trading them, in order for them to have that removed they have to be approved by staff members in their appeal showing their vouches since the TWC. If staff members see fit to remove the TWC then they believe the person to be safe enough to trade on the platform without it.

Imo a ban would not be suitable for someone obtaining multiple TWC as they already have to use middlemen/trusted users to obtain their vouches for removal thus learning and having to use 'good trading practice' also having to obtain vouches again and appeal in front of the same staff members that removed their first/second TWC (they will be reviewed under scrutiny by staff).

 

TWC's can be placed for multiple reasons and most of the time it's case by case.

We will leave the decision up to staff discretion. If staff deems it necessary to escalate a re-occurring TWC to a temp ban, they will do it.
