A $300 million prize should be awarded for the development of a battery package that has the size, capacity, cost and power to leapfrog the commercially available plug-in hybrids or electric cars. That battery should deliver a power source at 30 percent of the current costs. At $300 million, the prize is one dollar for every man, woman and child in this country - and a small price to pay for breaking our dependence on oil.


This is what he actually said in his website. The 300 million dollars should be used of something more importance. 300 million dollars can help millions of kids in Africa to get food or shelter. But not spend it for a car.....
Imagine what other stupid stuff he might spend our money for?

 

Its a good idea...Who cares about Africa? They only send money to charities and such to get something that shows they "care" about other countries.

 

This, as a result will help lower gas prices.

Hybrids will become less dependent on gas, etc.
Therefor the need will go down a bit, then price will drop as follow.

And Africa is a crap hole, always was, always will be. It's useless.
It's just like trying to recover dead muscle, it will NEVER happen.

Its the way it works, If we stopped caring about other people I can garuntee everything would be better. We wouldnt be sending billions to poor countrys, we wouldnt worry about tossing bombs on people that blow up our buildings, and we wouldnt worry about free trade, we would just rob them. But we can't rely on electricity as an alternative to gasoline, as things like gasoline are required to generate electricity.

Unrepresentative despotic governments are what have built up the loans upon which the African people are paying interest. The conditions in much of Africa are shockingly poor. I know people who have helped out in areas over there for months. I definitely wouldn't want to live in poverty.
