HELP! suggest a language for me to learn!

Hi, i want to learn a new programming language and need a suggestion.
Im mostly interested in coding games so what would be best.
If you post, please post some useful download links/compilers for said prog.

Oh heres some languages i already know.

 

HTML isn't really a programming language, it's a markup language. Knowing a couple lines of SQL really means nothing as it is so broad. Also, even though SCAR and pascal are similar knowing SCAR does not nearly mean that you know Pascal...

Anyways I'd recommend learning something Object-Oriented, mainstream, and useful.

Either C++, Java, or C# would be my recommendation.

 

ok thanks but i didn't need the sas. the list of languages i know weren't meant to be criticized. But yes i might try java.

 

Nothing wrong with being corrected mate - even I'm often corrected by peers.

I recommend C# or Java for beginning and learning the C syntax and concepts, then moving on to C or C++ when you feel game enough.

 

If you know the basics of HTML, and your up for some extra experience I suggest CSS. If your looking at game development I also recommend C# or Java. There are a wide variety of possibilities.

 

I would do Java its like the only thing i learned to do :/

I would recommend C#. I learned both Java and C#, and I really like C# over java. C# has your back with the .NET framework. Java is free though, C# is sort of free. But yeah after a while move to C++.

 

Python is great for beginners.

 

I belive he meant the programming language Java, not Javascript the webpage scripting language... it's not the same thing...
