Whether it be their fault or not you can't just let scammers roam around. A lot of them don't know any better. Doing this will just make Sythe look like a joke.

Oh, I thought you meant that they would still be reported, there would just be no ban.

It was my fault for trusting him, but it wasn't my fault that I got scammed. He could of done the job perfectly and everything could of went smooth, but I had no control over what he did once he had control of my account. I shouldn't have given him my info in the first place. If the trade had gone the way I had wanted it to, I'd have my stuff and I'd be fine. However, he chose to scam me. I'm sorry if none of that made any sense, or if I'm coming off as a whiney noob, but really, it's not that big of a deal. It IS just an online game, anyway, lol.

    EDIT:
    Very true.

I really do support this idea, if you are dumb enough to get scammed its your own fault.

I was thinking about this, and I think it would be better to think of/advertise it as prevention/protection/helpful instead of just saying "you're stupid if you got scammed" or like 1337it said,
That's not very nice and just makes people angry, lol

I support this. although anyone with a decent rep, say 1500+ pc, mod/ranked member, or 25+ vouches should be a different story and banned immediately.

Yes, it was. You ultimately trusted him with your items, meaning that he scammed you because he had your items.

Who cares about the people? If you are stupid enough to get scammed, then you deserve it.

The hacker is not smart, the hackee is just dumb.

If the mods cant do scammer reports, what makes you think they will ban people with rep?

Mmm.. Yea okay.. I don't really know.
Instead of letting everybody scam, so everybody will quit Sythe, we could just get more admin/mods, and people should be safer, like recording or taking pictures when trading, so the mods can banhammer them.

    Lol. :p ^
Btw, it should be hand-picked mods, not just someone writing a thread saying "I have done 100 trades with 5732 billions worth of party hats and I'm very trusted, I do free training. My bicycle just fell down from a bridge, plz give me mod, so I can ban people who scams".

What makes you think people will come here to buy/sell their items? We are already flooded with scammers, ALLOWING SCAMMERS WILL JUST BRING MORE SCAMMERS HERE, AND ANYONE GOING FIRST WILL SCAM! There will be no legit trades occuring, because people will just scam scam scam whenever they can.

You said it yourself, everyone is a potential scammer. You want people to use a MM, there will be more MM's to scam people. Impatience overcomes common sense in most cases and scam occurs.

    Bad idea.

On msn theres a script which makes the person you are having a conversation say whatever you want them to say, so fake proofs are quite simple IMO.

I agree that it is the scammed persons fault for getting scammed, BUT, banning scammers will prevent them from doing it again, and its one less scammer to cry about.

I think that a better idea is to have more people, not necessarily mods, doing reports. If 50 people are doing scam reports, they will all be done sooner or later.

Basically your saying people need to learn what scammers act like and start learning from mistakes. And that sythe shouldn't bother banning them. I somewhat agree but the same person can scam and scam and scam lol.

Go down to the bottom of the page, and check the report a scammer section. I want you to see how many pages there are so far.

I had some respect for you, till that post.

I have never said use an MM, have I? Trust no one that you should not trust, and you shall be fine. I have never been scammed on this site, because i take precautions. Never used a MM either.

No kidding, which is why evidence is futile.

Theres a thing called a proxy, not hard to obtain one.

Yes, this goes on for about a month, then no one does them and we are in the situation we are in right now.

Then you learn by evidence not to trade with them.

Wow TJ you do make a good point.
I looked over the pages, half of them or more are waiting for a response.

    I support.

Thats true, but not every single scammer is going to bother doing it
