Revo lution, you can probably get rid of all of those startup programs for good.

While I don't see any viruses I recognize, I do see alot of crap "quick-loads", etc that will slow you down and do screwy things to your settings. Kill them all.

If you happen to have a virus, just system restore ur computer to the day before you installed a infected file.

The "Glary Utilities" and such registry cleaners are nice but there is a chance that these registry cleaners can bust your registry info up. Stay away from registry cleaners if possible.

Uninstall unnecessary programs that you dont use they take up RAM.

The higher your RAM is the better/faster ur comp is.

this is a great guide liked it =] 9.5/10

Personally, I disabled System restore the first day I got my computer. It slows you down when it's making restore points, and eats hard drive space.

Following the guidelines I explain in the guide, I haven't been infected by a virus once since I got my new computer last year.

I've never had a problem with a registry cleaner, but it is good to look over the keys you'll be deleting before you purge them.

Not a bad guide, well-written and whatnot BUT...the way you said of killing the viruses that are already in use obviously does not work...you can't cut and paste a file that is in use, nor can you change the extension. You have to download a more sophisticated file-viewer (CCleaner or Windows Process Explorer) to have any chance at winning the fight.
