Need Help or 24/7 Dedicated Hosting

Hello, my current remote Linux server won't let me run a batch file for my gameserver using cron job. I am looking for either, help with this, or free 24/7 dedicated hosting, basically a private server for my game to run on. If you offer the hosting, i will give u an admin spot in my gameserver...=)

Well you won't be able to run a .bat file because thats a DOS Batch file, which is for Windows. Linux uses something similar called shell scripting. You could run a .bat file on a Linux box using WINE, but you couldn't use cron to run any .bat files on a remote Linux server.

 

Well, assuming the server itself is even cross-platform (ie: will run on Linux too) you should be able to use the Terminal to invoke as Daily was saying.

Just rewrite your bloody run file. (learn terminal)
Did you seriously expect DOS to work on Linux?
