How to talk in RuneScape?

For some reason I'm having trouble doing custom talking in RuneScape. Did they take it out? Every time I try to type I have to choose what I want to say...

 

your probably muted.
if it brings up a menu with things to click there is 2 things it could be.

1. your in a quick chat world.
2. your muted (like i said before)

 

or u created an account under 13 yrs old lol

 

You can't create accounts under 13 years old >.> your probably on quick chat world or muted.

 

I created this account in 2004.

I was in World 49.

I think I probably am muted. How do I check it I'm muted or not?

you probably accidentally pressed enter before you started to type..

 

no...you made a account under 13 years old this update came like in 2008 that you cant talk if under age of 13...
