How to hook a computer up to a T.V.????

Hey i was wondering if it is possible to connect your computer to a T.V. (like a cable that connects from your computer then has the av cables for your tv?)

I know you can do this with projectors (i wish i had one) but is it possible with a tv?

If your computer has an s-video connection then yea. You just connect a s-video cable to your computer and then connect it to your dvd player.

How to hook a computer up to a T.V.????

Most new HDTV's have come with an s-video cable and imput, alot of tv's have an s-video cable, look through you're tv imputs and you may see one, and if you don't have an s-video cable you could probably go to a future shop/best buy or any kind of electronics stores you should be able to get the cable. I hope this helped.

How to hook a computer up to a T.V.????

I know my schools have one that does that to an old standard tv, but my friend has his computer hooked up to a 42inch lcd, it looks kind of good a little foggy, but on a regular tv its really really foggy and it's position is out of wack like mabey 1-3 inches will be lost. your best be it to get an lcd with an avi adapter built in, On my screen i can play my 360, pc and watch standard cable, i bought a lot of adapters, and took me about a few weeks to do it, the only problem is when i want to switch from 360 to pc i have to change the outlet.

Elaborate. It might not just magically work if you plug it in. I have to change my monitor settings before it will recognize I've plugged it into the TV.

Doh, this is why I got my dad..

I'll ask him about this when he gets home, because he's done this down in the living room, and upstairs in their bedroom.

But he has done something, so you can either use the right side of your screen, like it goes outside your computer monitor, and on to the TV screen, or just normally see the monitor on the TV and on the computer..

You shouldn't be looking for an S-Video cable, they only have low resolution... a max of 1024x768 I think.. If it's a somewhat new TV, just get a normal VGA or a VGA-DVI cable, depending on what connecter your computer has. Check if your TV has a VGA connecter first though (obviously). If it's a HDTV (and has a HDMI connecter) you should buy a VGA-HDMI, DVI-HDMI or a HDMI cable, depending on what connecters your computer has.

That should be about it, I think, you might have to setup your TV screen on your computer first, but that's all.
