Guide to becoming a moderator on runescape.

Guide to becoming a Moderator on ~RuneScape~

Hi Guys i know its everyones dream to becoming a moderator in RuneScape , lets put it like this, its NOT EASY so don't think this guide will make you a moderator within a day or a week, i'd say it could take [1 month - forever] to becoming a moderator .

Lets get started.

• You must Have an IP address that has not had any offences on any of your accounts, JaGex will see this straight away and will not make you a mod under any circumstances. Try to get your IP address changed.

• Don't POLICE the game, otherwise known as "BACK-Seat-MODerating

• Make a NEW account

• Make an Account with a sensible Geeky Name, somehing like : The Old Poet, try not to do this "PK3R K1NG" its got numbers instead of letters. its okay to have numbers in your name just not instead of words, but you still can become a moderator if you do have a name like "PK3R K1NG" just unlikely.
• Now make a password as long as you can get it , i think maximun is 20 letters/numbers, so as long as you got a password 10 letters + me personally i use a password like G4M1NG0FTH3K11NG
• As soon as the account is made Make recoveries i'd suggest make your own questions and muddle the answers use numbers in the answers to , runescape suggest this. for example : what's your favorite place of time in you? Answer OhMYgosh1234444
• Make a bank pin , make it memorable as possible but nothing with consistent numbers so 1234 its not suitable something like 2783 would be better. best to write the answers down
• Now Have a good look at the rules so you understand what you report for etc. dont read them fully just read them fo about 30mins
• Be nice on the forums dont go flaming peoples threads. Report real bad threads if you come across any.dont report for silly things like langge used or copying threads.
• Follow the rules dont auto on the account. Report people for anything thats wrong dont report them over and over again , remember play the game and read the rules , when you see an offence happening before you report say something nice to someone, then report , Make sure your not staying a level 3 with 1 on every level JAGEX SAY PLAY THE GAME GAIN SKILLS.
• Try to play the mini games, talk to town criers as many times as possible.
• dont argue with noobs and dont just stand around looking for people to report once you report stay away from them, and put on ignore dont tell no-one if you repored them or dont tell them there going on the ignore list.
• NEVER EVER DO any OFFENCES NOT EVEN TO MATES ON PRIVATE CHAT.Try to use proper ENGLISH NOT slang and remember full stops etc.. this will help because it makes jagex think your a responsible member of RS
• dont go giving out free stuff to noobs , dont ask for free stuff play he game use all the levels to get your own food and money.
• Remind people when they are breaking the rules tell them the offence and rules and remind tem to read the rules, only do this when someone is persistntly breaking the rules.
• DONT LISTEN TO REMARKS LIKE THIS;
"First off, get a friend to make an account. Be sure to never get your IP on that account! Your best bet is to have a friend go to the library and make an account. After your friend makes the account, find him/her in game. Do NOT contact each other through Private Message!! Once you have found him/her, get him/her to break the rules. Make them say very racist jokes or discriminate religions ... things like that! Once that is complete, make your friend go home and make an account at home and repeat the process. Make sure this friend doesn't like RuneScape and will never play in the future! And always use different worlds when reporting your friend. If you report the same incident in the same world twice, it might look suspicious.

If you are into getting that status fast, pay some people here on RealPoor who play WoW to make an account and break rules for you. Remember, don't go in a busy world, this way only you can report. "
• What happens when your chosen;
When you are selected to be a Moderator, you will receive a message. A JaGex Moderator will also contact you in game. Make sure you are polite to the J-Mod. He/she will ask if you are willing to join the team. Say something like "it will be my pleasure. Thank you very much." Or, "It will be an honour to help out. Thank you." The JaGex Moderator will thank you and then tell you to look at your messages. Do so, and then you will get a message saying something along the lines of, "you have been selected to be a Player Moderator," and so on.

The new system JaGex has is that you will have to verify your email-address, home address, and telephone number. Make sure it matches previous membership payments,etc. If you are free-player, no worries.

JaGex will send you a letter in the mail and once you recieve it, log onto the Moderator centre and enter the verification. Then you will now be a Moderator! Yay!! A JaGex Moderator will now contact you in game again and congratulate you.

Please note, it is rumoured that JaGex keeps tabs on which websites you use. This hasn't been confirmed by ANY Moderator so don't worry. After all, it is just a rumour.

**IM NOT A PLAYER MODERATOR THIS IS JUST A GUIDE **
**I NEED A IP ADDRESS CHANGER TOO MANY OFFENCES ON MY **

The chance of you being picked is less than 0.001. These guides are pointless.

u can change ur ip if u go to ur internet company and ask them to otherwise unplug ur modem and everything and then replug it after like a minute

Making an account just to be a mod is stupid. Just do not cheat or break rules on your main...

There is a small chance of getting modmanship in Runescape. If you have done these steps which you wrote and you have a moderator then ok i might consider trying it. Some of the things in you guide which you wrote are false such as the black marks one for example.
I have met mods with black marks.

That's too bad. If you post something, you have to take opinions from both sides of the coin. Not everybody is going to like what you say.

The guide is okay, but you could simplify it by saying "Use plain English, be helpful, only report flagarant violations, and don't break any rules." Even at that, the chances of you getting chosen moderator are slim.

Not true that this guide is pointless. I'm friends with a guy who has TWO accounts that are mods. Sniper Bob30 and Sniper Bob34. Both P mods.
