I think that its rediculous that you have to pay a mod or admin to be a middleman. isnt that why there here? to help.? but nah. they charge you. I have been here long enough to watch how many scams there have been from a lack of a middleman. Try and convince me otherwise if im wrong.

That's why you have people like darkgroove and other trusted non-officials. The officials earn the right to charge by proving how legit they are.

 

Middleman have the right to charge money. They have to spend their time to middleman your trades.

On topic...Official aren't always online, but when they come online (if they weren't charging) they would be spammed by hundreds of leechers.

They do a billion free ones so they can charge.. it's ridiculous to have to not scam, not be a dick, and waste 1 hour+ a day to moderate a website filled with idiots who trade people who are profiled scammers <_<

 

Yeah Middlemanning is no easy task and is very time consuming, I think its acceptable to charge, but I think they charge a bit too much. A flat rate would be better because if I wanna use an MM to sell my lvl 132 with 99 rc for lets say 600 USD, I'd need to pay 60 USD for a middleman. I can do sooo much with that 60 USD IRL so thats why I'm not going to be the one paying toward an MM. But thats my only complaint. I mean its not like the account will take longer then any other or more money takes longer to transfer.. So something like over lets say 300 should be a flat rate of like 20 USD.

 

MM's have the right to charge for their services, no one could regulate their services. If you don't like it, don't use them, it's that easy.

They give you their time, a sense of security, a fast trade and if the other person backs out or tries to scam, he wont be able to and he will get banned or a TWC.

 

I think if you don't like to pay for a OMM then you should use a very trusted non official for free

 

I'm sick and tired of the insults from the general community. MODS VOLUNTEER THEY ARE NOT PAID. We are not obliged to middleman your trades, frankly I couldn't care less if you got scammed. There are dozens of free middlemen but no way in this world will officials be 100% free. They spent time and effort to get in the position they are, why should they waste more time just to make sure some kid doesn't loose his gp.

 

In response to your thread title, Does not count. If it was the opinion of many, than it would matter. But usually, the opinion of one is not enough to do anything.

QUIT YER BITCHIN', and suck it up, we're not here to be your bitches, so if we want to charge for what we do, we'll charge... I'm not going to make graphics for free just because it will help someone, I'm going to charge out of my ass for it, so I'm not expecting any official MM to go for free either. Time is money, and they're just ripping themselves off if they don't charge.

Every MM of a trustworthy nature SHOULD be charging in my opinion.
