Player-Owner Shops

We could integrate crafting with stall shops, like:

User crafts 25 noted Wood Planks with a hammer, and then the system outputs, say, a Gem Stall, and whenever another user clicks on it, it opens a shop, and all profits go to the user who made the stall...

Or:

We could add a right-click feature on certain NPC Shops so that users can buy them for, say, a week, for like 10m. Then, as items are bought from that shop, the user who bought that specific shop will get the income made...

No to the second idea, thought the first one is ok with some tweaks....

 

1st one sounds cool 2nd one not so much and there may not be 10m because we are not copying Runescape =-) we are trying to get better then Runescape not copy it!

 

They both sound stupid. What happens when you get more then 10 people playing the game? You have a million stalls all sitting all over the place junking up your game play.

What you should do is have a Auction house sort of thing like in WoW. Where someone can come and look up and item, and buy/bid on which ever one is lowest or they want to. Have that item linked to the other items the person is selling like on ebay and your problem is solved.

But I don't think we should have anything good be able to be sold. It will spoil the game with rwters. WoW has it about as good as it is going to get. They have thought through these things time after time. If you want good concept designs don't look to runescape. Look to WoW.
