Are Riot Games and its new TFT mode killing League?

Okay, let me explain my thought process here. While the title is basically a "yes" when it comes down to it, whether the killing of League is intentional or not - I'm gonna cover some things first before I get into the talky talky.

- Riot has been - since the release of TFT on PBE/live - giving accounts (PBE / live) to non-League streamers for free for them to play, a benefit rare for actual LoL streamers. I forget who the streamer was, but he was trying to get a PBE account (think signups are closed rn lol) and he was told to basically fuck off, but a random WoW streamer was given one for free. An unlocked PBE account, lv 30 iirc.

- Game balancing has been thrown off on a greater loop than before with TFT? Someone brought this point up to me privately and I actually kind of agree, the game is in a REALLY shitty state rn and Riot HAS been working on TFT for a while now, I'd say since mid January-February off and on, so I don't think they've been paying full attention to their game.

- Champion design/rework design has gotten more... toxic. Champions like Pyke and Kai'Sa are still some of the best in the game, and the recent Mordekaiser rework is still broken (or very close to it) as of me writing this post. (I think after Neeko's release and her on-hit nerf, the only balanced thing Riot has done lately is Qiyana. she's not too op or too bad. Just good.)

- Riot has been neglecting their streamers lately, as well as the entirety of high elo. Wintraders are becoming more and more rampant, as with soft and hard int - whether you're a fan of him or not, IWD/Dom posted a video really recently where he actually got 14 day banned for flaming an inter (0/10 Tahm top in like 15? minutes??). Inter was never punished. Dude was 100% inting/wintrading if you look at the replay.

- The game this season and arguably most of last season has been nothing but pure fucking agony to streamers, high elo players, and your average joe. Not sure about Iron 4 / Bronze 5 level players but I can vouch that the game is fucking taxing on my mental.

- Riot seems to promote soft toxicity, i.e flame-baiting or badgering people - but if the person responds (also same for inting/wintrading) they're punished typically immediately. Report weight is also still a thing, and have experienced it effect the game negatively (report an incel, he still plays.).

- Scott Gelb still being allowed to work at Riot, lmao?

All in all I personally think this 100% comes down to the company's pure incompetence and lack of both ability and know-how to properly provide for the community and the game. The game's balance is neglected, the streamers that started getting the game popular to begin with are neglected, Riot going dumber and dumber with punishments (you can be banned for arguing.), the like. Riot also doesn't care about pedophiles, extremely toxic streamers (or streamers tolerating extremely toxic behavior), etc. running rampant in the community, but y'know.

Do you think this is an actual serious issue? Or are me and the others thinking too much into it, and TFT was just something they did for fun? What do you think, will League nosedive in popularly eventually?
It's said over and over again that League is dying, and now with the majority of the good streamers being pissed off with the game and literally avoiding playing it, I think it's actually starting to come true now. Even some of the "nicest" streamers are just dying inside when they play it.

As someone who's been playing on and off since season 1, I feel like this games been dying since season 4... then again I used to 1 trick Zed during the tank meta and still win most of my games, so maybe it's dying cause they actually somewhat balanced the only champ I like by giving every other champ in the game mass CC now xD.

Maybe I'm just bad.

To be completely honest in my opinion, league died around season 2-4 for me.... I used to play this game 24/7 i think i just burnt myself out but i miss old school league with AP YI, block chance from tabis , feral flare, deathfire grasp etc etc

They paid all these streamers to sponsor which probably brought in a ton of client downloads just to play tft which is obviously gonna lead to playing league

 

Yeah, but at the same time they're neglecting their streamers and they're all starting to get VERY pissed off. Even people like Sneaky/QTpie don't like the current state of things. If the streamers who originally popularized the game on social media platforms hate it now, what's to say any other person will play League?

Plus TFT is fun autochess RNG but League is just... a horrible game in comparison. Kinda feels like they just dumped the game for TFT, but hopefully they put equal effort into them in the future.

I think its just the fact thats its so easy for one person to hijack the game and takes so long for that person to be punished

 

Its sad that they removed like 3v3 etc, probably cause of bots etc but I was kinda enjoying ranked 3v3 with friends
