Simply. You take a photocopy of your ID, Attach it to an email with your HOME PHONE number, Address, etc. It could be used for safe trades and to keep the non scammers known.

Not used while you are registering it is completely separate.
Phone Number, Address, Name, Won't be given out, only given to Admin or Person verifying you. They will the put that you are confirmed that they have your phone number, address, name.
Then if you scam, which this prevents and adds security, they have your info and can give it to the person you scammed.

    Example is http://www.trustwho.com/

Markeedragon.com uses this and it helps a lot.

    /sigh

its nothing like that. you dont give your number out. you would send in your info to an email address. or have a specified person who deals with this. Maybe charge like 2-3 dollars for verification for the work the forums would put into doing it.

You don't release your phone number to the forums. You would send it to this person or an admin who would do it. And they would verify it. And you would get a page like "Sythe.com/verifications/YourUsername" and on that page it would say:

    Username:
    Verified at: your email
    Phone Verified?: Yes/No
    ID Verified?: Yes/No
    Address?: Yes/No
    etc.

Ok, I think I will edit the post. Its not used while registering It is COMPLETELY separate. It is a service that will say you are verified by your ID and that you won't scam. It's all for buyer/seller protection.

    That sounds quite good actually,
And the site could have a database of Verified IDs and you can have your verification number in your signature area, so that admins can check if it's you if a user asks.

Yeah, thats almost exactly how it would work. When you get verified you could get a link that you can put in your signature, or as you are completing the verification process you have a choice to put a bar in your signature that says

but it would be a picture that says like Sythe Verified or something that when you click on it it would link to your verify page that says your ID Verified to your name.

Or have a thing that says "Verified" that links to the page under the username.

Sounds like a lot of work, but if the mods are up to it, it could work.

I'm 15 and I don't have an id yet, soon to get my learners permit... and who wants to post there id?

*edit* Yes i understand that you don't give people there i.d. your suggesting the admins have your i.d., but then what happens if someone gets your sythe account? your getting phone calls, emails, and maybe letters. If a sythe mod were to display where you live you could be in serious trouble. What if someone steals your account scams someone, a mod gives the person who was scammed your address? Also I could just take my brothers/dad's i.d. and people would trust me more even if I am a scammer. I'm pretty sure you need to be on 13 to be on sythe and there aren't many forms of identification out there. I would completely support its just that I don't want to be considered "untrusted" because I don't supply my i.d. If sythe would only provide someone who is scammed with a phone # rather than your complete profile I would completely support.

Umm exactly. Face it. 99% of the account sales on here are scams. If there was a way to verify the legit buyer and sellers.

This is all about personal information, something we don't want anything to do with.

If you want to verify someone you're trading with, work it out with them. We can't do all of this stuff officially.
